  15.        This manual page  documents  the  GNU  version  of  nnoohhuupp.
  16.        nnoohhuupp  runs  the given _c_o_m_m_a_n_d with hangup signals ignored
  17.        and the scheduling priority increased by 5,  so  that  the
  18.        command  can  continue running in the background after you
  19.        log out.  If the standard output is  a  tty,  it  and  the
  20.        standard error are redirected so that they are appended to
  21.        the file `nohup.out'; if that cannot be written  to,  they
  22.        are  appended to the file `$HOME/nohup.out'.  If that can-
  23.        not be written to, the command is not run.

  25.        If    nnoohhuupp    creates    the    file    `nohup.out'    or
  26.        `$HOME/nohup.out',  it  creates  it with no access permis-
  27.        sions for group or other.  It does not change the  permis-
  28.        sions of those files if they already existed.

  30.        nnoohhuupp  does  not  automatically put the command it runs in
  31.        the background; you must do that explicitly, by ending the
  32.        command line with an `&'.
