  1.      All  of  these pictures were created with Mand2000.  Most of them
  2. were  created  for  NTSC  32  colour  modes, but some were created for
  3. higher  resolution,  256  colour  AGA  modes.  256 colour fractals are
  4. definitely the way to go!

  6.      For  optimal  viewing  with only 32 colours, most of the pictures
  7. were  carefully in two separate ways.  First the palette was carefully
  8. chosen.   Then the `Colour mapping' requester was used to adjusted how
  9. the  iteration counts were mapped onto individual colours.  Experiment
  10. with  both  of  these  and you can dramatically change the pictures to
  11. suit your personal taste.

  13.      For ideal viewing, load these into Mand2000 (just double click on
  14. them) so that you can see where they are in the Mandelbrot (with `Show
  15. Location') and can further explore them.

  17.      Be  sure  to  look at Paisley.mono, and be sure to move the mouse
  18. around a lot.

  20.      All  of  the  fractal  icons were created using the icon creation
  21. abilities  of  Mand2000.   Individual frames were loaded into Mand2000
  22. and  then saved out with `Create icons always' turned on.  This causes
  23. Mand2000  to  create  an  icon that is a miniature version of the full
  24. image.   Using  this  feature,  an  entire  directory of images can be
  25. quickly examined by opening it from the workbench.

  30.      These  pictures  may be freely distributed on a non-profit basis,
  31. as  long  as  this  complete  text file is distributed with them.  The
  32. images  within  may  be used as long as full credit is given to Cygnus
  33. Software and Mand2000.

  35.      The  demo version of Mand2000 only allows saving of small images.
