  9.    Are you running muFS, the Multi User File System for the Commodore
  10. Amiga? Then you surely have thought of a program providing an easy way
  11. to maintain the users and groups in your system.
  12.  
  13.    Of course such a program should have a graphical user interface
  14. which allows doing all necessary operations by a few mouse klicks or
  15. key strokes. Additionally, it should be localized i.e. speaking to you
  16. in your preferred language.

  18.    Then `AM' is the program you want. It was written to support the
  19. system operator's work by supplying an easy-to-use user interface based
  20. on MUI (Magic User Interface) by Stefan Stuntz.

  22.    The following gives you a quick overview on AM's facilities:

  24.    * localized (currently English, German, Netherlands, Norwegian,
  25.      Portuguêse, and Swedish catalogs)
  26.  
  27.    * needs and makes extensive use of MUI 2.0 (`muimaster.library'
  28.      version 7+)
  29.  
  30.    * supports the following operations on the muFS system files
  31.  
  32.         - create new users/groups
  33.  
  34.         - edit any characteristics of an existing user/group
  35.  
  36.         - delete users/groups
  37.  
  38.         - temporarily ban a user from the system
  39.  
  40.    * automatically creates new $HOME directories and installs default
  41.      files there by executing a user supplied script
  42.  
  43.    * checks $HOME directories (not functional yet)

  45.    * searches muFS partitions for files with bad owner information and
  46.      changes them
