  13. DirKing is a very powerful replacement for the AmigaDOS 'List' and 'Dir'
  14. commands.  It gives full control over formatting of the listing.  Batch
  15. (script) files can also be generated, which can be executed from within
  16. DirKing.  The directory can be sorted on one or more items (e.g. size,
  17. date, comment, data type,..), and in a user defined order.  DirKing also
  18. supports numerous directory filters (e.g. name, date, comment, datatype...).
  19. All these filters can be made effective on files only, on directories only
  20. or on both.  One can even define patterns for each directory level.
  21. Multiple scan paths may be given, also supported are multiple assigns,
  22. links, datatypes and locale value formats.  Unique is the feature to
  23. monitor the directory scanning process.  If you have cataloged your disk
  24. collection, then you can insert the disk ID in the listing.  Very useful
  25. are the listing fields which inform you how many files and dirs each
  26. directory contains.  The actual blocks and bytes used by a directory can
  27. be shown, thus allowing to see if it would fit on a certain disk.  DirKing
  28. offers a lot more than can be presented in this short space, so check it
  29. out!  DirKing currently supports AmigaDOS v1.2 upto v3.1.  Binary only.
