  1. A recent version of gawk has been successfully compiled and run "make test"
  2. on the following:

  5. NeXT running 2.0
  6. DECstation 3100 running Ultrix 4.0 or Ultrix 3.1 (different config)
  7. AtariST (16-bit ints, gcc compiler, byacc, running under TOS)
  8. ESIX V.3.2 Rev D (== System V Release 3.2), the 386.  compiler was gcc + bison
  9. IBM RS/6000 (see README.rs6000)
  10. 486 running SVR4, using cc and bison
  11. SGI running IRIX 3.3 using gcc (fails with cc)
  12. Sequent Balance running Dynix V3.1
  13. Cray Y-MP8 running Unicos 6.0.11
  14. Cray 2 running Unicos 6.1 (modulo trailing zeroes in chem)
  15. VAX/VMS V5.x (should also work on 4.6 and 4.7)
  16. VMS POSIX V1.0, V1.1
  17. OpenVMS AXP V1.0
  18. MSDOS - Microsoft C 5.1, compiles and runs very simple testing
  19. BSD 4.4alpha
