  10. DropIt! has been written in order to make the "exploration" of the
  11. public domain disks easier.  More often than not, those disks contain
  12. numerous files which examination needs the use of quite a lot of
  13. different utilities (ILBM reader, text viewer, archive utility, ...).
  14. DropIt! enables you to do this automatically.

  16. To this end, it opens when it is started an icon on the Workbench
  17. screen on which you can put another icon.  The type of the file is
  18. then recognized automatically and the associated program (chosen by
  19. the user) started (an ILBM reader for an image for instance).
