DDEESSCCRRIIPPTTIIOONN
The ppssiiggnnaall() function locates the descriptive message string for the
given signal _s_i_g number and writes it to the _s_t_d_e_r_r.
If the argument _s is nonNULL it is written to the _s_t_d_e_r_r prior to the
message string. The signal number should be from among those found in
<_s_i_g_n_a_l_._h>.
The message strings can be accessed directly using the external character
array _s_y_s___s_i_g_l_i_s_t. The defined variable NSIG contains a count of the mes
sages in _s_y_s___s_i_g_l_i_s_t.
