  1. MAGIC        Multi-Application Graphic Image Communications.  A system of
  2.         sharing 24-bit image data between MAGIC-aware applications.
  3.         For example, you have loaded an image into Application A for
  4.         editing.  You decide you need to do a special glitzy effect
  5.         on the image, a task at which Application B excels.  Rather
  6.         than saving the image to disk and then loading it into Appli-
  7.         cation B, you simply run Application B, select it's "Open
  8.         MAGIC" menu option, choose your image by name, and the image
  9.         appears in Application B ready for your effect.  When you're
  10.         done, you simply quit Application B and you may return to
  11.         Application A where the image sits, glitzed and effected.
