  3.                 A Game of Galactic Colonization
  4.      This demonstration version of Spheres of Influence will only
  5. allow forty turns of play. The game requires at least 1 meg
  6. of CHIP RAM and AmigaDOS 2.0 or higher. The compressed file
  7. SofI.LHA contains many files needed for the game.
  8.  
  9. When you decompress the SofI.LHA file a drawer will be created 
  10. called SOIDATA (uncompressed, it would almost fill two standard 
  11. floppy disks--a hard drive is required.) Inside this drawer is 
  12. an ASSIGN icon labeled "double click me". The program will need 
  13. to be able to find this drawer; double clicking on the ASSIGN icon 
  14. will allow this (until you reboot), or use the AmigaDOS CLI command 
  15. "Assign" on the drawer--for instance:
  16.           Assign SOIDATA: your_harddrive:soidata
  17. You may add this assignment to your s:user-startup file for 
  18. convenience. The executable is a file called "Spheres of Influence". 
  19. If started from the CLI insure that the stack is at least 50000, 
  20. the game has an icon and may be started from the Workbench. 
  21. Saved games have an icon which may be double-clicked or shift 
  22. selected from the Workbench. The documentation is a file 
  23. called SOIDATA:doc.txt. It is an ASCII text file which you may read 
  24. using any text editor or word processor (it has carriage returns 
  25. only at the end of paragraphs); it may be printed out if you wish. 
  26. The documentation is written for the commercial two disk version, 
  27. not this compressed demo version; please get help at your local 
  28. user's group if you have trouble getting this version to run on 
  29. your system.

  31.      This demonstration version is complete but will not allow
  32. the game to continue after turn forty. All game features are
  33. functional and intact. I am looking for a publisher for this game.
