  8.    ImageStudio is written for the casual graphics user who wishes to
  9. convert or manipulate various graphics formats on a modest Amiga
  10. system. There are several commercial offerings available, however the
  11. casual user is paying a lot of money for many facilities and options
  12. they would probably never use.

  14.    Bitmap graphics, by their nature, usually require large amounts of
  15. RAM. One of the main objectives of ImageStudio was to reduce this
  16. burden by utilising virtual memory - most users have more spare hard
  17. disk space than spare RAM.

  19.    ImageStudio works with several buffers at any one time (dependant on
  20. how many levels of undo are specified), each of these buffers can hold
  21. either colour-mapped or 24-bit images. For a detailed description of

  32. ImageStudio is limited to loading in pictures upto 250x250 pixels. All
  33. other operations are available.
