  3. This is disk 330 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.
  4. Below is a listing of the significant directories and their contents.

  7. Mostra        A very versatile program to display IFF ILBM files.
  8.         Features realtime unpacking scroll, smart analysis of any
  9.         IFF file, total control over display modes, simple
  10.         slideshow processing, pattern matching, and a dozen other
  11.         options.  Only 14K.  This is version 1.0, an upgrade to
  12.         the Show program on disk 323, and adds SHAM, double
  13.         buffering, faster decompression, color cycling, TeXdocs,
  14.         startup files for easy customizing, and complete WorkBench
  15.         support through ToolTypes and Style icons.  Binary only.

  17.  
  18. Palette        A tool which allows you to change another program's
  19.         custom screen colors.  This is version 1.1, an update
  20.         to the version on disk 55.  New features include checks
  21.         for WorkBench startups, checks for HAM, Half Brite, or
  22.         more than five bitplanes, and more graceful exits.
  23.         Includes source in assembly.

  27. Vt100        A vt100 emulator for the Amiga, which also supports
  28.         various file transfer protocols like kermit, xmodem,

  31.         version 2.9a, an update to version 2.9 on disk 275.

  36. XprKermit    An Amiga shared library which provides Kermit file

  48. CRobots        A game based on computer programming.  Unlike arcade type
  49.         games which require human input controlling some object,
  50.         all strategy in CRobots is condensed into a C language
  51.         program that you design and write, to control a robot
  52.         whose mission is to seek out, track, and destroy other
  53.         robots, each running different programs.  All robots are
  54.         equally equipped, and up to four may compete at once.
  55.         This is version 2.2w, an update to version 2.1w on disk
  56.         311.  Binary only, source available from author.

  59. Csh        Version 4.01a of a csh like shell derived from Matt
  60.         Dillon's shell, version 2.07.  This is an update to
  61.         version 4.00a on disk 309.  Changes include mostly bug
  62.         fixes and corrections.  Includes source.

  65. Iff2Ex        A program to convert IFF pictures to an executable.  It
  66.         can handle NTSC/PAL, interlace and overscan.  Version 1.0,

  70. LhArcA        An intuitionized and faster version of lharc for the Amiga.
  71.         Requires ARP library.  Version 0.99a, binary only.

  74. LVR        Link Virus Remover.  A program that recursively searches
  75.         directories for link viruses in executable files.  This
  76.         is version 1.20, binary only.

  79. NTSC-PAL    Utilities which allow Amigas with the new ECS 1Mb Agnus
  80.         to easily switch between PAL and NTSC display modes.

  84. PatchLoadSeg    This program patches the loadseg routine to automatically
  85.         detect link viruses when a program is loaded.  Displays an
  86.         alert when a virus is detected in a program being loaded

  90. VirusUtils    Two programs to detect viruses on disk and in memory.
  91.         Virushunter removes all known viruses in memory.
  92.         Viruskiller removes all known viruses in memory and after
  93.         removing the viruses the disks can be checked without the
  94.         virus copying itself to the disks.  Version 3.60, binary
  95.         only.

  104. AniPtrs        Some cute animated pointers.  I have adopted one of them
  105.         as my permanent replacement for the boring red arrow.
  106.         Binary only.

  109. DevPatch    A program that installs a patch for OpenWindow to check the
  110.         NewWindow structure.  If the title matches a specific
  111.         string, the height will be forced to 45 pixels.  This helps
  112.         to reduce chip memory usage for programs that open overly
  113.         large windows and then seldom use them.  Includes source.

  116. Helper        A little InputEvent hack, activated via the HELP key.
  117.         Originally meant to provide a unique method of giving the
  118.         user help (you don't have to put that help stuff into your

  124.         auxiliary programs for managing sound dumps.  This is

  142. MultiPlot    A package for making 2D plots conveniently.  Tim Mooney
  143.         wrote the original program, which was then enhanced by
  144.         Alan Baxter with a nicer user interface, support for
  145.         the PLT: device, and support for file conversions.  Rich
  146.         Champeaux and Jim Miller wrote the PLT: handler which
  147.         emulates a plotter by accepting HP-GL commands, creating
  148.         a raster image, then dumping it to any preferences supported
  149.         graphics printer.  This is version XLNb, an update to
  150.         version XLN on disk 292, and includes many bug fixes, style
  151.         changes, and enhancements.  Includes source.

  160. FBM        An Amiga port of the Fuzzy PixMap image manipulation
  161.         library.  This package allows manipulation and conversion
  162.         of a variety of color and B&W image formats.  Supported
  163.         formats include Sun rasterfiles, GIF, IFF, PCX, PBM
  164.         bitmaps, "face" files, and FBM files.  Also has input
  165.         converters for raw images, like DigiView files, and
  166.         output converters for PostScript and Diablo graphics.
  167.         Besides doing format conversion, some of the other image
  168.         manipulation operations supported include rectangular
  169.         extraction, density and contrast changes, rotation,
  170.         quantization, halftone grayscaling, edge sharpening, 
  171.         and histograms.  Version 0.9, binary only.

  174. PPMore        A "more" replacement program that reads normal ascii text
  175.         files as well as files crunched with PowerPacker.  The
  176.         crunched files can result in consider disk space savings.

  180. PPShow        A "show" program for normal IFF ILBM files or ILBM files
  181.         crunched with PowerPacker.  The decrunching is done auto-

  185. WhatIs        A neat little utility which not only recognizes a wide
  186.         variety of file types (executables, IFF, icons, zoo files,
  187.         etc), but prints interesting information about the structure
  188.         or contents of the recognized file types.  Version 1.2a
