  7. UChess        A powerful version of the program GnuChess version 4 for the
  8.         Amiga.  Plays a very strong game of chess.  Code has been re-
  9.         written and data structures re-organized for optimal efficiency
  10.         on 32 bit 68020 and better Amiga systems.  Fully multitasking,
  11.         automatically detects and supports 640X480X256 color AGA mode
  12.         machines, and does not at any time BUSY wait.  Requires a 68020
  13.         /030/040 based Amiga computer system with AmigaOS 2.04 or later
  14.         and 4 Meg of ram minimum.  Special "L" version optimized for
  15.         68040 and requires 10 Meg of ram minimum.  Supports a variety
  16.         of standard features such as load, save, edit board, autoplay,
  17.         swap sides, force move, undo, time limits, hints, show think-
  18.         ing, and a supervisor mode that will allow two humans to play
  19.         with the computer acting as a "supervisor".  Version 2.04,
  20.         includes source.

  29. HSV        A small color palette utility that contains both RGB and HSV
  30.         sliders for adjusting your screens colors.  If the screen has
  31.         4 bitplanes or less, you can also save the palette to 'ENVARC:
  32.         palette.prefs'.  Requires AmigaOS2.xx, version 0.99, includes
  33.         source.

  36. RADBack        A shareware utility that can make a backup of a RAD disk to a
  37.         normal 880K Amiga disk, regardless of its length - bigger RADs
  38.         are saved on more disks.  Can be started from the Workbench as
  39.         well as from CLI.  Version 1.0, binary only.

  42. Replex        REPLace EXecutable. This handy patch substitutes program names
  43.         that are about to be executed, e.g. if an icon default tool
  44.         specifies ":c/MuchMore" and you prefer to use "c:TextRead",
  45.         you can have it defined as such, so you never have to change
  46.         the icon.  Intuition interface allows up to 8 such definitions.
  47.         Compatible with all known OS versions.  This is version 1.0,
  48.         binary only.

  51. ScsiTape    A Scsi-Direct tape handler that implements fully asynchronous
  52.         double-buffered read and write operations.  If you have disk /
  53.         tape drives which support reselection then the handler will be
  54.         able to operate on the tape concurrently with disk accesses
  55.         meaning that an archiver such as Tar will not 'freeze' while
  56.         tape operations are in progress.  Includes source.

  59. SKsh        A Unix ksh like shell for the Amiga.  Some of its features
  60.         include command substitution, shell functions, aliases, local
  61.         variables, emacs and vi style editing, I/O redirection, pipes,
  62.         Unix wildcards, a large variety of commands, and coexistence
  63.         with scripts from other shells.  Well documented.  Version 2.1,
  64.         an update to version 2.0 on disk 672.  New features in version
  65.         2.1 include true piping between internal and external commands,
  66.         background functions, aliases, and other shell constructs,
  67.         enforcer clean, several new commands, cross filesystem file
  68.         and directory moves, and more.  Binary only.  Requires Amiga
  69.         Dos 2.04.

  78. AmigaBase    A hierachical, programmable, in-core database.  Features
  79.         include two display methods, filter datasets, search datasets,
  80.         print datasets, and many more.  Nearly everything can be real-
  81.         ized by programming AmigaBase.  Datatypes can be Integer, Real,
  82.         Boolean, String, Memo (Text), Date and Time.  Number of data-
  83.         sets is only limited by available memory.  Lacking documenta-
  84.         tion, (available with shareware submission) but full Intuition
  85.         interface make many operations quite obvious.  Also includes
  86.         some example projects.  Runs under OS 1.3 and 2.0, shareware,
  87.         binary only.

  90. DragIt        Allows you to move or size a window without having to use the
  91.         drag bar or sizing gadget.  Press on  the configurable quali-
  92.         fier, while holding it, press  your selected  mouse button,
  93.         and move the mouse.  You'll  see the  window  border appear,
  94.         and  you'll be able to drag or size it.  Requires OS 2.0,
  95.         supports localization with locale.library and the new style
  96.         2.1 (or 3.0) preference.  Version 2.01, binary only.

  99. ModHPLJD    A Rexx program that creates a modified version of the HP_Laser
  100.         Jet driver.  The modification changes the 'initialize' string
  101.         so that the font chosen from the printer menu (rather than
  102.         12pt Courier) can be used and the number of lines per inch can
  103.         be specified.  Version 1.01.

  105.  
  106. TClass        An "Intelligent" file identifier.  Has the ability to "learn"
  107.         new types of files by simply scanning groups of known types of
  108.         files, and checking the first 20 bytes for similiarities.  It
  109.         then reports on the matching accuracy and adds a "definition"
  110.         for the filetype to a brain file.  Version 2.9, binary only.

  113. WBPat        Creates random 3D patterns for your 2.04 WorkBench windows.
  114.         A pattern can be shifted or changed, tested, used and saved.

  124. DateCheck    A Rexx program that validates the system date by comparing it
  125.         to the date stored when DateCheck was last executed.  If the
  126.         system date is earlier or too much later than the stored date,
  127.         the user is notified by a requester.  Version 1.01.

  130. ReflexFinal    A game which tests your addition, subtraction, division, mul-
  131.         tiplication, percentage, and algebra skills.  The goal is to
  132.         answer several math questions in the shortest possible time.

  137. Snap        A tool for clipping text or graphics from the screen, using
  138.         the clipboard device.  Snap finds out character coordinates
  139.         automatically, handles different fonts, keymaps, accented
  140.         characters, and more.  Version 1.63, contains a small bug fix
  141.         to version 1.62 on disk number 524.  Includes source.

  144. SOUNDEffect    Sound sample editing program.  Special features include:
  145.         temporary buffers, frequency and amplitude modulation (tremolo
  146.         and vibrato), echo, special reverb effect, chorus effect,
  147.         mixer, free hand editing, low and high pass filter, compresser,
  148.         expander, limiter, distortion and all usual functions (copy,
  149.         paste, insert, cut, looping, zooming etc.).  Version 1.30,
  150.         shareware, binary only.

  159. MCAnim        A special animplayer. Plays LORES 4-plane ANIM5 anims in a
  160.         HIRES-LACE screen.  The result is a FULLspeed, small (1/4)
  161.         animation with a high resolution.  The anim can be placed
  162.         anywhere on the screen.  One of nine copperlists can be added
  163.         in one register without loss of speed. Version 0.8, binary
  164.         only.

  167. ReqTools    A standard Amiga shared runtime library which makes it a lot
  168.         quicker and easier to build standard requesters into your pro-
  169.         grams.  Designed with CBM's style guidelines in mind, so that
  170.         the resulting requesters have the look and feel of AmigaDOS
  171.         2.0.  Version 2.1a, lots of enhancements since release 1.0d on
  172.         disk 623.  Includes a demo and glue/demo sources.
