  3. This is disk 870 of the freely distributable AMIGA software library.

  7. AmigaGuide    Archive distribution of the AmigaGuide hypertext utility direct
  8.         from Commodore.  Contains developer examples and tools for
  9.         AmigaGuide under V34/V37 and V39, plus a new free print/sign/
  10.         send-in distribution license for AmigaGuide, amigaguide.lib-
  11.         rary, WDisplay, and their icons.

  14. FollowMouse    A pair of small blinking eyes following the mouse movements
  15.         on the screen.  Runs from both the WorkBench and CLI.  Version
  16.         1.2, an update to the version on disk number 757.  Includes
  17.         source in PASCAL.

  20. Installer    Archive distribution of the Amiga Installer utility direct from
  21.         Commodore.  Contains V1.24 of the Installer, documentation and
  22.         examples for developers to use when developing their software.
  23.         Also contains various enhancements and fixes detailed in the
  24.         documentation enclosed.  The documentation has also been
  25.         enhanced and brought up to date.

  28. SoftProtect    A software disk write-protection.  With the permission of the
  29.         user, disables floppy writes even on write-enabled disks.
  30.         Switches to enable/disable states with a gadget.  Runs from
  31.         both WorkBench and CLI.  An update to 'AskFirst' on disk
  32.         number 753.  Includes source in assembly.

  35. StackCheck    A program that determines the maximum stack usage of another
  36.         program.  It uses a completely different method than all
  37.         the other stack-watching programs like WatchStack or Xoper
  38.         and is very reliable.  In most cases it does not require any
  39.         CPU time to do its work.  Version 1.0, includes source for
  40.         Aztec C and GNU C.

  43. SWAP        Memory management may be considered as one of the weak points
  44.         of Amiga OS.  SWAP was written as a trial to provide swapping
  45.         for Amigas without any special hardware.  The main intention
  46.         is to let the user choose a task, swap it to disk so that its
  47.         occupied memory is released, and do other things.  Later on,
  48.         he could swap the program back to main memory and let it
  49.         continue from the point it was interrupted.  Includes source
  50.         in C and assembly.

  53. WindowShuffle    Activates and brings to front next or previous window with
  54.         hotkeys.  Hotkeys can be changed.  Implemented as a commodity.
  55.         Requires at least AmigaOS 2.04.  Version 1.07, an update to
  56.         version 1.05 on disk 497.  Includes german version and source
  57.         in C.

  66. ABackup        A very powerful backup utility that may be used both for hard
  67.         disk backup and for file archiving.  Has a full Intuition
  68.         interface, a "batch" mode, can save/load file selection, handle
  69.         HD floppies, use any external compression program, etc...
  70.         Includes both English and French versions.  Version 2.43, an
  71.         update from version 2.40 on disk 838.  Shareware, binary only.

  74. DImpWin        A GUI interface for Disk-Imploder (included) by A.J. Brouwer.
  75.         DImp is one of the most efficient disk archivers available
  76.         for the Amiga.  It offers 7 different levels of compression,
  77.         the ability to create self-extracting archives, MULTIPLE
  78.         CYLINDER RANGES, ability to work with any floppy compatible
  79.         device (such as RAD: & FMS disks) and it can also add a text-
  80.         file to the archive that will be displayed during extraction.
  81.         Via the GUI interface,  DImp-Win will invoke DImp and tell it
  82.         what to do.  DImp-Win version 1.0, DImp version 2.27.  Requires
  83.         AmigaOS 2.04+.  Binary only.

  86. Planetarium    An astronomy program which displays and animates the planets
  87.         of the solar system at specific times.  Useful for quickly and
  88.         easily determining the best times to view the planets, observ-
  89.         ing retrograde, etc.  Version 1.0, OS 1.3, 2.x, 3.0 compatible.

  93. StatRam        Stat-RAM or 'SD0:' is a very fast recoverable ram drive that
  94.         takes advantage of FFS under WB2 or FFS International under
  95.         WB2.1 or 3.  This work is based on ASDG's 'VD0:'.  ASDG-RAM
  96.         has been reliable for many years since it was placed in the
  97.         PD.  However it has always been slow because it uses OFS, or
  98.         old file system.  On an accelerated machines, SD0: is up to 7
  99.         times faster, and averages 5 times faster than the original
  100.         VD0:.  It's also 4 to 5 times faster than RRD.  It survives
  101.         the deepest re-boot, even the ColdReboot of rekicking a KS
  102.         file.  Version 1.5, binary only.

  105. TrashIcon    A WorkBench 2.x application icon to delete files.  Puts an
  106.         icon at a possibly user defined position on the WorkBench
  107.         screen, that deletes all files that are dragged onto it.  This
  108.         is version 1.4, an update to version 1.2 on disk number 839.

  112. UnivConq    A strategy game where two human players battle for control of
  113.         the universe.  The game has several variables that allow the
  114.         players to vary the density of planets, the initial number of
  115.         ships, and the length of play.  Status information is contin-
  116.         ually updated to allow the player to concentrate on strategy,
  117.         not statistics.  Includes digitized pictures and sound.
  118.         Version 1.08.  Compatible with WB 1.3 & 2.x.  Binary only.

  127. Convert        A units conversion utility inspired by "Units" ( by Gregory
  128.         Simpson) but is easier to use and can be customized by changing
  129.         the data file (conv.dat) alone and does not require recompila-
  130.         tion of the program.   V1.3, binary only.

  133. ToolManager    Part 1 of a 2 part release of the very popular program by 
  134.         Stefan Becker.  This part contains LHA archives of the binary
  135.         files and graphics.  Part 2 can be found on disk number 873.
  136.         ToolManager is a full featured program for either WorkBench
  137.         or CLI tool management.  Includes the ability to add menu
  138.         items to the 2.x "Tools" menu, add WorkBench icons or dock
  139.         Windows.  Features multi-column docks that automatically
  140.         detect largest image size, ARexx, sound and Locale support.
  141.         Version 2.1, an update to version 2.0 on disk number 752.
  142.         Includes source, lots of graphic images, and programmers
  143.         support for using the toolmanager.library.  Requires 2.x for
  144.         full functionality

  153. Cross        A program that creates crossword puzzles.  Has a message
  154.         data file to allow easy translation into almost any human
  155.         language, with English and German currently supported.
  156.         This is version 5.1, an update to version 4.1 on disk 537.
  157.         Includes source in M2Amiga Modula-2.

  160. FInf         A very versatile directory listing utility.  It can examine the
  161.         contents of files and display a short type description.  In
  162.         addition, FInf has a whole slew of options that allow you to
  163.         filter files by type, date, age, size etc., as well as recur-
  164.         sive directory descending, and adjustable output formatting.
  165.         So next to simply listing directories, FInf is extremely useful
  166.         for creating hybrid commands that perform functions closely
