An engraving which appeared in the June 1833 issue of the Wesleyan-Methodist Magazine (London, England). The original portrait from which this engraving was made was completed during Peter Jones's first missionary tour of Britain in 1831-32. Note the medal that he wears around his neck, given to him after he was elected a Mississauga Chief in 1829. Since the British defeat of the French they had traditionally installed each new Mississauga Chief by presenting him with a silver medal.
