  2. How to Create Lace Ribbon Roses

  5. Materials: (For EACH rose)
  6. 3" x 3" square of satin ribbon
  7. 3" x 6" length of lace  ribbon
  8. stem wire or lollipop stick
  9. floral tape
  10.  
  11.  
  12. Place the right side of the satin ribbon on wrong side of
  13. the lace.
  14.  
  15. Stitch the 2 layers together along bottom edge.
  16.  
  17. Fold the right sides of the satin ribbon on the wrong side
  18. of the lace ribbon. Stitch the 2 layers together along the
  19. bottom edge.
  20.  
  21. Fold right sides of the lace and ribbon unit together
  22. along the edges to make a tube and stitch. Turn right
  23. side out.
  24.  
  25. Pinch together bottom edge of ribbon and lace unit and
  26. tughtly wrap around a chenille stem about 1/2 inch
  27. above edge.
  28.  
  29. Wind floral tape around lace and stem, inserting a leaf
  30. in the second wrap from the top and continue winding
  31. down to cover entire stem piece.
  32.  
  33. Cut an 18 inch piece if 1/8th inch double-face satin
  34. ribbon, Tie in a bow around stem.
