  7.     Jazz singer DIANE SCHUUR wields a lot of weight in the
  8. music world -- but not as much as she used to. Her ballooning
  9. bulk hit a high in 1989, when Schuur had to be carted about
  10. Disneyland. "I was just feeling awful. I knew I wouldn't be
  11. living if I stayed that way." Now, minus 100 lbs., the
  12. creamy-voiced song stylist has a hot album -- In Tribute -- and
  13. appears in a TV ad for a quickie diet program. "People say how
  14. beautiful I am, but of course, I can't look in a mirror," says
  15. Schuur, blind from birth.
