  4.      Welcome to the largely ignored world of shareware
  5. publishing. Shareware publishing works much like shareware
  6. itself, in that you get to try something out before buying it. 
  7.      Contained within the file FUNGUS.ZIP are three sample
  8. chapters which should give you a good idea of how much you will
  9. enjoy the rest of the book. What makes this unique is that the
  10. rest of the book is included in another zipped file contained
  11. within FUNGUS.ZIP. This other file is encrypted, and by telling
  12. me the EXACT name of this other file, I will be able to send you
  13. the password after receiving your payment.
  14.      The benefit to this method is that it absolutely ensures you
  15. will receive the rest of the book. There is no worry that the
  16. Post Office might do nasty things to disks, and if there are any
  17. problems, they can easily be taken care of over the phone.
  18.      You are allowed, in fact encouraged, to distribute and use
  19. the file FUNGUS.ZIP under these conditions:
  20.  
  21.         ■ It contains the ASCII files CHAPTER.01, CHAPTER.02,
  22.           CHAPTER.03, INTRO.TXT, and the other, encrypted file
  23.           containing CHAPTER.04 through CHAPTER.14, with no
  24.           additions or changes. The one exception being
  25.           distribution overseas, which is discussed in the fourth
  26.           point.

  28.         ■ The material is not published in any form other
  29.           than as a computer file. Any attempt to do so
  30.           will constitute a violation of copyright. 
  31.  
  32.         ■ Duplication services may only distribute unaltered
  33.           copies of FUNGUS.ZIP, and then only after seeking
  34.           approval from Steve Reitci, 1102 N. 119th St.,
  35.           Wauwatosa, WI   53226. The one exception being
  36.           distribution overseas, which is discussed in the
  37.           fourth point.

  39.         ■ Do to the fact that data encryption techniques cannot
  40.           be exported to other countries, if you wish to
  41.           distribute copies of FUNGUS.ZIP overseas you will have
  42.           to first remove the other, encrypted zipped file within
  43.           it. No other changes to FUNGUS.ZIP can be made.
  44.              Foreign readers will receive a disk with the rest of
  45.           the book in a normally zipped file after remitting
  46.           payment.

  49. end of this file, and at the end of CHAPTER.03.
  50.      I hope you will enjoy Uncle Fungus' advice as much as I have
  51. enjoyed writing it.
