SLAPPER.COM
(A Program For Those With a Grudge)
Program written by Robert Lee and Richard Ward.
Documentation and idea by Richard Ward.
SLAPPER is an easy to use, pain in the behind. What does
SLAPPER do, you may ask (come on, ask!)? Well, it sits around
on your friends P.C., and pisses them off. In all honesty,
SLAPPER is a pseudo RAM-resident file that hides out and every
once-in-a-while writes out an annoying, and sometimes insulting,
remark on the screen. Slapper will perform DOS commands
(including running other programs) as if it did not exist.
To invoke SLAPPER enter: "SLAPPER [n]" at the DOS
prompt,"n" being the percentage chance of SLAPPER doing it's
thing. You need not include a frequency of your own, SLAPPER
will default to a frequency of 25% if one is not given. (Note,
SLAPPER will return a message of "Bad command or file name..."
when invoked, this tends to mislead unsuspecting souls to think
that SLAPPER is not there.)
To terminate SLAPPER, enter "byebye" at the DOS prompt, and
SLAPPER will kill itself on the spot, no questions asked.
Entering "COPY" on the DOS prompt will write the copyright
message to the screen.
The best way to find out exactly what SLAPPER does is to
run it yourself. To do this, simply put in the disk containing
SLAPPER, and enter SLAPPER at the DOS prompt. If you want to
guaranty seeing a response, enter SLAPPER 100. Now SLAPPER will
respond every time you make a DOS command.
SLAPPER.COM is being distributed under the User Supported
(Shareware) concept. This, of course, means that you are free
to copy, use, and give away this program as you see fit. The
only limiting conditions are that this program can not be
changed in any way, nor can this documentation be changed. You
may not charge any fee for SLAPPER, and this DOC file must be
distributed with SLAPPER.COM. If you derive some enjoyment
(sadistic or otherwise) from the use of this program, voluntary
contributions of $5.00 would be most appreciated.
The $5.00 contribution will not only reimburse the authors
of this program for their time, it will also put you on the
mailing list. This means that you will be notified of any
improvements, developments, or changes in SLAPPER. You will
also be informed of any and all other programs that we make
available.
All comments, correspondence, criticisms, checks, and money
orders should be sent to:
