  3.    God saved me at the age of 25, September, 1939, as I turned from
  4. works, merits, sacraments, sacramentals, and trusted totally in the
  5. finished once for all blood sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the cross for
  6. me, never to be repeated, continued, renewed, or re-applied.

  8.    Mrs. Florence Cassebaum, a neighbor, invited us to attend
  9. evangelistic meetings at a Fundamental Church, Grace Chapel, Havertown,
  10. Pa. I had been confirmed in the Episcopal Church of Redemption,
  11. Philadelphia, by Bishop Hart, at the age of 12. Later, I completed the
  12. correspondence course in doctrine given by the Roman Catholic knits of
  13. Columbus. The night of my conversion, I saw from the Bible the errors
  14. of ritualism, formalism, godfathers, infant baptism, dependence upon
  15. systems and organizations, whether religious or fraternal (John 1:12).
  16. I saw that Biblical conversion results in a change of life. "Therefore
  17. if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed
  18. away; behold, all things are become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17). The
  19. smoking, social drinking, dancing, Hollywood movies, and other
  20. interests incompatible with the Word of God and the new life in Christ
  21. vanished away. The new life brought new desires, new associations, a
  22. love for Goes Word.

  24.    I attended Philadelphia School of the Bible (now Philadelphia
  25. College of Bible), was Biblically baptized, untied with Grace Chapel,
  26. and have been there ever since, serving awhile as Moderator, and for 16
  27. years as Chairman of the Grace Chapel Missionary Society, giving
  28. towards the support of 140 missionaries around $125,000 annually.

  30.    The Lord led into fulltime service and the formation of the
  31. Conversion Center, a home and foreign mission to reach Roman Catholics
  32. and "whosoever will" with the saving Gospel of Jesus Christ, as
  33. contrasted with the false gospel and false Christs of Romanism,
  34. Mormonism, Jehovah's Witnessism, Communism, Christian Scientism, etc.
