Now there's a better way to take notes, keep track of important
dates, find a phone number, balance a checkbook or write letters
and papers. It's called BRAILLEMATE.
This spring, TeleSensory introduced BrailleMate, a hand-held
information organizer with an 8-dot braille cell and a built-in
speech synthesizer. BrailleMate features an 8-dot braille
keyboard with two special function keys.
With the braille keyboard, text can be entered in either Grade 1
or Grade 2 braille. Since BrailleMate has an on-board
translator, Grade 2 braille is automatically converted to
standard text for speech and print output. A simple command
sends information to an ink printer or braille embosser.
Combining BrailleMate with TeleSensory's Navigator braille
display gives you all BrailleMate's handy features in a 20, 40 or
80-character refreshable braille format. And the newest model
Navigator 80 now features vertical and horizontal touch strips
that enable movement of the display window and cursor. Together
with a tactile ruler, cursor routing is simplified by using the
vertical strip to move the display to a specific line and the
horizontal strip to route the cursor to a specific cell.
TeleSensory has been providing solutions that work for blind and
visually impaired people for over 20 years. For more information
or to arrange a demonstration of BrailleMate or any of
TeleSensory's products, call toll free within the United States
at 1-800-227-8418.
