                          GENERAL INFORMATION

"An informal network of approximately 1000 officers and counselors
track satanic crime via phone, newsletters, and seminars" - "There is
compelling evidence of the existence of a nationwide network of satanic
cults, some branched into child pornography and violent sadomasochistic
crime, including murder."

"The idea of organized groups dedicated to violence and vandalism has
largely been ignored by investigators and prosecutors."

"The Chicago-based Cult Awareness Network concurs regarding the
significance of teenage Satanism. At least 10% of the 250 calls
received by the network each month are about satanic cults, a
significant figure considering the thousands of American cults. Cynthia
Kisser, Executive Director, suspects far more youngsters are devil
worshippers. Cynthia says, 'I believe for every one we're hearing
about, there are five or six teenagers we haven't picked up on.'"

*    Issac Bonewits - a well-known practicing witch

"Slayer (see Black Metal Bands) was blamed for inspiring a Lake County
teenager in rural ARK to attempt killing his parents by beating them
with a club, then slicing them with a butcher knife. The assailant said
he consulted a Ouija board and heard voices telling him to murder his
parents. When police investigated, they found the teen's cassette
player cued to the song, "Alter of Sacrifice," from the album, 'Reign
in Blood.'"

"Perhaps 90% of teens who end up in devil worship got involved because
it's a fad."

"Satanic cult leaders know that even though their philosophy is based
on moral anarchy, they must maintain cohesiveness with their followers.
Drugs render the devil's devotees addictively dependent and less likely
to abandon their allegiance to Satan."

"To them [teens] swearing allegiance to Satan is a more effective high
than psychoactive substances. The result is what one social expert
calls a "delusional habit of mind."

"Dr. Gregory Simpson, a Los Angles pediatrician, began looking into the
GENINFO ritual abuse of children in 1985 after treating many scarred young
patients. He states, 'The conclusion I reached is that satanic abuse
of small children does exist, and it's something that needs to be dealt

***NOTE    Common elements combine to form a framework of evil. First
a blood relative or trusted friend inducts a child. Secret ceremonies
instill a ritualistic fear of evil, accompanied by robed and hooded
figures, naked women on alters, hypnotic chants, goblets of animal
blood, bottles of human flesh preserved in formaldehyde, and orgies
between adults and children and children with animals. The eating  of
feces, drinking urine, sacrifices of babies, and taking of pictures for
pornographic  purposes are other elements that law enforcement
authorities and therapists are beginning to uncover. Some cases of
cannibalism have been reported.

A 1988 "Geraldo" telecast featured testimony from several women who
said they were kept by satanic cults to breed babies.

"Human sacrifice among current satanic cults is often well organized
and extremely efficient. Anticoagulants are used to store blood drained
from a body, which may be disposed of in a portable crematorium. The
idea of murdering another human being for religious purposes is
borrowed from black magick literature. [The writings of Aleister
Crowley.] 'For the highest spiritual working, one must accordingly
choose that victim which contains the greatest and purest force. A male
child of perfect innocence and high intelligence is the most
satisfactory and suitable victim.'"

"Officer Mitch White of the Beaumont, California Police Dept. estimates
that 95% of all missing children are victims of occult-related
abductions."

"The easiest recruits for satanic groups are runaway teenagers."

"CIRCUMSTANTIAL EVIDENCE INDICATES THAT NATIONWIDE COVENS OF CHILD
MOLESTERS ARE IN TOUCH WITH ONE ANOTHER. On September 27, 1987, the
Minneapolis Star Tribune headline read: "POLICE EXPERT WARNS OF
SATANISM.

The story reported that police had uncovered COMPUTER RECORDS
LINKING CHILD MOLESTATION RINGS, and that similarities of techniques
used to violate the innocent indicated interaction between such groups.
Investigators believe most NETWORKING IS INFORMAL, extended by families
and friends or from one generation to the next."

"As with cocaine cartels, these satanic cults follow a hieratchial
leadership. Leaders from all walks of life, including the wealthy and
influential. Victims I [Bob Larson] have counseled say the reason for
their silence is that they would have to accuse powerful figures in the
community whose credibility is much greater than teenagers who are
caught up in such diversions as black metal music and drugs and/or
alcohol."

"One expert believes there are about 60 thousand hardcore satanists
nationwide, about one third located in California. Larry Kahner, author
GENINFO of "Cults That Kill" says there is EVIDENCE OF NATIONWIDE CONNECTIONS
BETWEEN BLACK MAGICK GROUPS AND DRUG AND PORNOGRAPHY RINGS."



                   GRIMORIES:  BLACK MAGICK TEXTBOOKS

Grimories, black magick textbooks for evoking demons, are the real
thing. They are NON-FICTION, HOW-TO books for the apprentice Satanist.
These manuals of magick have been ascribed to Solomon, Albertus Mangus,
and assorted wizards. They describe rituals, ceremonies, and
miscellaneous occult practices. Among the most noteable are: Liber
Spiritum; Shemamphoras, [a Hebrew book]; Oupnekhat, [a Sanskrit
manual]; Hell's Coercion, [attributed to Johannes Faustus]; The Key of
Solomon, [ascribes to King Solomon]; and The Lesser Key of Solomon,
[explaining demonic hierarchy].


                             SATANIC GROUPS

"Adherents of Satanism fall into two general categories. First are the
psychotically and criminally inclined groups who appear to operate
without external jurisdiction. These are the solitary satanists, who
are usually responsible for grave robbings, animal sacrifices, body
mutilations, sexual orgies, church vandalizing and blood ceremonies.
Most teenagers involved in Satanism are attracted to this form of devil
worship.

Second category is the organized institution of Satanism, represented
by the Church of Satan.


                    THE LURE OF DUNGEONS AND DRAGONS

*    In California, the body of a bright seveenteen-year old boy washed
     up on a beach in San Fransicso.

*    In Colorado, a twelve-year old lad fatally shot his sixteen-year
     old brother, then killed himself.

*    In Kansas, a fourteen-year old Eagle Scout candidate walked into
     his junior high school and opened fire with a rifle, killing his
     principal and three others.

*    In Austin, Texas, az twelve-year old boy jumped to his death from
     a hotel window.

     The National Colaition on Television Violence syas D&D is linked
to more than fifty teenage deaths. One attorney, representing a family
of ayoung suicide victim who was involved in D&D, declared, "IT is a
game that tells kids how to prefect the art of [remeditated murder."


                  THE LINK BETWEEN SATANISM AND DRUGS

     The writtings of Carlos Castaneda, whose books give glowing tales
of pharmacological indulgences through the scorcerer Don Jaun, have
provided the social backdrop for drugs and satanism.


                      SOWING THE SEEDS OF SATANISM

     Authorities agree that 95% of kids involved in drugs, black metal
music, fantasy role playing games, horror movies, and devilish
paraphernaila - never step beyond the bounds of occult curiosity.
Pherhaps 5% dabble in serious satanism. But the 1 or 2% who go on into
the dark realms of soul-pacts and demonic conjuring are grabbing
headlines:

              *     "SATAINIST, 15, TOP SUSPECT IN VANDALISM

              *     "TROUBLED TEENS TURN TO CULTS FOR RELIEF

              *      "YOUTH OBSESSED WITH SATANISM STABS MOTHER TO
                     DEATH, KILLS SELF."



NINE SATANIC STATEMENTS:

     1.   Satan represents indulgence instead of abstinance.

     2.   Satan represents vital existence, instead of spiritual
          pipe dreams.

     3.   Satan represents undefiled wisdom, instead of hypocritical
          self-deceit.

     4.   Satan represents kindness to those who deserve it, instead of
          love wasted on ingrates.

     5.   Satan represents vengence instead of turning the other cheek.

     6.   Satan represents responsibility to the responsible, instead
          of concern for psychic vampires.

     7.   Satan represents man as just another animal, sometimes
          better, more often worse than those that walk on all fours,
          who, because of his "divine spiritual and intellectual
          development," has become the most vicious animal of all.

     8.   Satan represents all of the so-called sins, as they lead to
          physical, mental, or moral gratification.

     9.   Satan has been the best friend the church has ever had, as he
          has kept it in business all these years.
