  1. ISS:THE Upjohn Company - killing or caring?

  3.    Unborn children are destroyed daily by drugs developed and
  4. manufactured by the Upjohn Company. On May 19, leading pro-life groups
  5. launched a nation-wide boycott of all Upjohn products, and we urge you
  6. to join in.
  7.  
  8.    As far as we know, Upjohn is the sole U.S. manufacturer of
  9. prostaglandin drugs used in late term abortions. What's more, there's
  10. growing evidence that these compounds may soon be available for
  11. at-home, "do-it-yourself" abortions.
  12.  
  13.    Some may question the effectiveness of boycotts. The recent decision
  14. by Southland Corp. to remove pornography from 7-Eleven stores shows
  15. that economic boycotts CAN work. At times it's inconvenient, but if
  16. enough people join in, we can have a tremendous effect.
  17.  
  18.    This year Upjohn celebrates their 100th Anniversary with the motto,
  19. "A Century of Caring." Let's take a stand and show what caring really
  20. is - compassion for "the least of these," especially unborn children.

  22.    Ask for alternatives to all Upjohn products - both prescription
  23. drugs and over-the-counter items. Ask your doctor and hospital to quit
  24. prescribing Upjohn drugs, and be sure to tell them why. Also talk to
  25. your veternarian, because Upjohn has a large line of animal drugs.
  26. Pressure from different angles will make the boycott more effective.
