- THE:Confession to belief by Jim Atanasoff
-
- Repeat each of these, at least 3 times every day, more if possible
- While repeating them, make a conscious decision to believe that what
- you are saying is true, for you, because this is what God says about
- you. Believing is paramount. To just know these scriptures, is not, and
- never will be, enough. You must believe, absolutely, that these
- scriptures define the quality and state of your life. For example, to
- walk in divine health, you must bring yourself to a place where "By His
- stripes, I am healed"(I Peter 2:24) is more real to you, than any
- physical symptom or condition, and then, when Satan brings pain or
- discomfort, you must resist him, focus on the Word, and Christ, speak
- the Word over your body, and ignore your body's arguments (in the
- beginning, your body will always argue on the side of being sick, for
- that is how it is trained, and it takes time to re-train your flesh).
- Then, having done ALL to stand, STAND THEREFORE, for as long as it
- takes. God's word will work. If healing doesn't come, it is your
- failure, not God's, and not the Word's.
-
- These are hard sayings, but for too long, people have excused
- themselves out of faith, expecting God to honor his word, when they
- never for a moment believed it. And when God refuses to honor their
- doubt and unbelief, they then say "It must not be God's will, to answer
- prayer, heal, or whatever". God's word IS His will. The only people
- Jesus didn't heal, were in Nazareth, where "there, He could do no
- mighty works, BECAUSE OF THEIR UNBELIEF." In healing, it gets really
- tough, because your life is on the line. However, if you don't get
- healed, and do die, you go home, so you still win! Therefore, you must,
- (and can) bring yourself to the point where you would rather die, than
- go against the Word. Jesus brought himself to that point, and did die,
- for you. Can you do less for Him, and the Word. The difference being,
- that for us, like Abraham, God will account our faith for
- righteousness, because Christ has already done the suffering, and
- dying, in our stead. Remember Abraham and Isaac, at Mt. Moriah. Abraham
- was ready to follow the Word of the Lord, no matter what the cost. When
- YOU are ready to stand on the Word, no matter what the cost, then, and
- only then, can God say to you, as he did to Abraham, "Now I know that
- thou fearest God, seeing thou hast not withheld *(insert here, whatever
- standing on the Word may cost you)* from me.(Gen. 22:12). For whosoever
- would save his life, will lose it. See Matthew 10:37-39.
-
- Please understand that this process will not be easy. His yoke is
- easy, and His burden light, when you believe! But in the beginning, you
- will be striving to believe, and not succeeding, for Satan is wily, and
- has far more experience than you. You must stand. All of us were
- brought up to believe Murphy's Law, `Whatever can go wrong, will'. You
- must re-train yourself, to believe `All things work together for good,
- for those who love the Lord'. And understand too, that here in Romans
- 8, God was not saying that the works of Satan work to our good. People
- have used this verse to excuse, and justify sickness and hard times,
- saying that God would use them for good. If we go that far, we could
- just as easily extend it to sin, and justify our continued sinning, in
- that God will use it for good. Ridiculous! God was saying that for
- those who love Him, ALL HIS THINGS work for their good: all His power,
- all His angels, all His wisdom. And with these, we can conquer those
- things contrary to Him, and us.
-
- Don't put time limits on God, either. He works, when He will, and
- your only option, is to believe. Great faith does not require evidence,
- for the Word is our evidence. Lean not to YOUR understanding! As
- Abraham, "Just believe God". Having done all to stand, stand therefore,
- for as long as it takes. Daniel waited 21 days. The Hebrew children
- waited in the fire. Joshua and Caleb waited 45 YEARS to enter the
- promised land. And Abraham waited several THOUSAND years, for Christ,
- and rejoiced. Yet we pray, and if there is no immediate reaction, we
- doubt! The wonder is not that so few of our prayers are answered, the
- wonder is that we get any answers at all, so frail has our faith been.
- BELIEVE! THIS IS GOD'S WORD, HIS PROMISE, WITH JESUS AS SURETY. He will
- fulfill it, to any that believe.
-
- Stand! Put on the WHOLE armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-20 should start
- your every day, first thing, before ought else, except perhaps to say
- "Good morning" to God, and Jesus. Even before prayer. This is prayer
- armor, and praying is spiritual warfare, because every prayer of yours,
- is against the enemy's will for your life. When all you do is stop, and
- look to God, and thank Him, and tell Him you love Him, you have struck
- a blow against Satan. Satan will do all in his power to stop you, and
- cause you to believe that your prayers are to no avail. Therefore, you
- need that armor, always. Without it, you are nothing but cannon fodder.
- Satan will make short work of the man who faces him with no arms, no
- shield, no helmet, and no breastplate. Read Ephesians 6:10-20, then
- Isaiah 59:16-18. See the connection. The armor we are given in Eph.6,
- is the armor Jesus wore. If He wore it, can you hope to survive without
- it?
-
- One more thing. "But I say unto you, That every idle word that men
- shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgement.
- For by THY WORDS thou shalt be JUSTIFIED, and by THY WORDS thou shalt
- be CONDEMNED." What will you speak? The Word of God, holy and true, or
- something else. Jesus said "EVERY IDLE WORD". We are responsible for
- EVERY word that proceeds forth from our lips. Out of the fullness of
- the heart, the mouth speaks. If you are full of God, and Christ, then
- His Word will come forth from your lips. But if what you speak is YOUR
- word, then the only thing you are full of is YOU. And that will bring
- condemnation. "Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall
- enter into the Kingdom of Heaven, but he that doeth the will of my
- Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord,
- have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out
- devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I
- profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye workers of
- iniquity."(Matthew 7:21-23). And please don't use this to point at
- certain ministries where mighty works are reported, and condemn them.
- For it is written, These signs shall follow them that believe; in my
- name they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
- They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing it
- shall not harm them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall
- recover."(Mark 16:17, 18) If these signs aren't following you, you
- aren't a believer. The Word doesn't say they could follow, or might
- follow, but that they SHALL follow. Sorry, but it isn't my word, Jesus
- said it. If you are strong enough to correct Him, go for it. What He
- has said in the scriptures quoted above, is that these mighty works are
- but minimal level of response to His life in us, but alone, they are
- not enough. You can believe well enough to cast out the devil, and lay
- hands on the sick, and see them recover, and still not make the grade
- for heaven. You must go on to perfection, (or maturity, if you would
- rather, though a reading of Matthew 5:48 puts some doubt to the idea
- that less is expected of us than Christ's perfection, changing us into
- His image). Admittedly it is a process, but I'll guarantee that if you
- are satisfied with your level of perfection, you don't have any.
- Anything less than a consuming desire to please and glorify God, and
- allow Him complete, absolute control, over every thing about us, our
- every word, every thought, every deed, is less than He will accept, and
- we will be turned away. The cold hard fact is that the church in
- general has comforted people into not doing the Word of God, because of
- course, it isn't possible to be perfect. It isn't, in our power, but we
- can't get anything with our power. The same power that made you a new
- creation, that washed away the stain of sin, will perfect you, as you
- grow up into Him. But the church, for years, has said, "Well, it isn't
- possible to be perfect, so God didn't mean that we had to be." Sorry,
- folks, but He meant every word. You will be judged according to your
- works.(Rev. 20:13). The works you do in His power will be accounted for
- righteousness. All else is of the devil, "For whatsover is not of
- FAITH, is SIN" (Romans 14:23).
-
- Ok, I hope I have impressed upon you, the importance of the Word,
- and the necessity for the Word being alive in you, always at your
- tongue, your first (and only) response to every situation and
- circumstance. Commit to these sayings, for they are of God. Repeat them
- again, and again, until they roll from your lips unbidden, at the first
- sign of trouble. Keep saying them until you are constantly repeating
- them, unconsciously. When these Words become your life, then Jesus has
- become your life, and not before. He and the Word are one. For Him to
- be in you, His Word must be in you. If He is your Lord, His Word must
- be your Lord, your absolute guide, your only authority, your sure and
- complete foundation. When you trust His Word, which you do see, then
- can you trust Him, whom you cannot see. See Psalms 119, and meditate on
- the place the psalmist gave to the word, the reverence, the deference
- he gave to it. It is God's Word, and since He cannot lie, His Word is
- His law. To be pleasing to Him, we must obey that law. To do so, we
- also must put the Word first place in our lives, more important than
- work, family, anything. More important than us. After 40 days without
- food, Jesus was hungry. Yet His response to Satan? "IT IS WRITTEN." Do
- these things, and you shall do well.
-
- Peace and Love, and the Lord's grace, to one and all who read this!
-
- I am the body of Christ, and Satan hath no power over me. For I
- overcome evil with good.-(I Cor.12:27;Romans 12:21)
-
- I am of God, and have overcome Satan. For greater is He that is
- within me, than he who is in the world. (I John 4:4)

- Spirit they comfort me. (Psalms 23:4)
-
- I am far from oppression, and fear does not come nigh me, and
- whosoever gathers against me, shall fall for my sake.(Isaiah 54:14,15)

- the Lord. But whatsoever I do will prosper, Because I'm like a tree
- that's planted by the rivers of water. (Isaiah 54:17;Psalms 1:3) I am
- delivered from the evils of this present world, for it is the will of
- God concerning me. (Galatians 1:4)
-
- No evil will befall me, neither shall any plague come nigh my

- God.(James 1:22)
-
- I take the shield of Faith and I quench *EVERY* fiery dart that the
- wicked one brings against me. (EPhesians 6:16)
-
- Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Therefore, I
- forbid any sickness or disease to come upon this body. Every disease
- germ and every virus that touches this body, dies instantly in the name
- of Jesus. Every organ and every tissue in this body functions in the
- perfection to which God created it to function, and I forbid ANY
- malfunction in this body, in the name of Jesus. (Galatians 3:13; Rom.
- 8:11;Genesis 1:31;Matthew 16:19)
-
- I am an overcomer, and I overcome by the blood of the Lamb, and the
- word of my testimony, and I love not my life unto the death.
- (Revelation 12:11)
-
- I am submitted to God, and the devil flees from me, because I resist
- him in the name of Jesus. (James 4:7)

- His Word upon this earth, and in my life. (Psalms 119:89)
-
- Great is the peace of my children, for they are taught of the Lord.
- (Isaiah 54:13)
-
- Christ has redeemed me from the curse of the law. Christ has
- redeemed me from poverty, Christ has redeemed me from sickness, Christ
- has redeemed me from spiritual death.(Galatians 3:13;Deut. 28)
-
- For poverty He has given me wealth, for sickness He has given me
- health, for death He has given me eternal life. (II Cor. 8:9; Isaiah
- 53:5-6; John 10:10; John 5:24)

- does bring it to pass. (Psalms 37:4-5)
-
- I have given, and it is given unto me, good measure, pressed down,
- shaken together, running over, do men give into my bosom. (Luke 6:38)
-

- therefore I reap bountifully. i give cheerfully, and My God has made
- all Grace abound unto me, and I having all sufficiency of all things,
- do abound unto every good work.(II Cor. 9:6-8) I have no lack, for my
- God supplies all my need according to His riches in glory by Christ
- Jesus. (Phil. 4:19)
-
- The Lord is my Shepard, I do not want, because Jesus was made poor,
- that through His poverty I might have abundance. For He came that I
- might have life, and have it MORE abundantly.(Psalms 23:1; II Cor.8:9;
- John 10:10)
-
- I, having recieved abundance of grace and the gift of righteousness,
- do reign as a king in this life, BY CHRIST JESUS. (Romans 5:17)
-
- The Lord has pleasure in the prosperity of His servant, and
- Abraham's blessings are mine. (Psalms 35:27; Gal. 3:14)
-
- The Spirit of truth abides in me, and teaches me all things, and
- guides me into all truths. Therefore I confess that I have perfect
- knowledge of every situation and every circumstance that I come up
- against, for I have the Wisdom of God.(John 16:13;James 1:5)
-
- I trust in the Lord with all my heart, and lean not to my own
- understanding; In all my ways I acknowledge Him, and He directs my
- path. (Prov.3:5-6)
-
- The Lord does perfect that which concerneth me, and I let the Word
- of Christ dwell in me richly in all Wisdom. (Ps. 138:8;Col. 3:16)
-
- I do follow the good shepherd, and I know His voice. The voice of a
- stranger I will not follow. (John 10:4-5)

-
- I am filled with the knowledge of the Lord's will, in all wisdom and

- God. I am strengthened with ALL might according to His glorious power,
- unto ALL patience and longsuffering with joyfullness. (Col. 1:9-11)
-
- I am a new creation in Christ, I am His workmanship created in
- Christ Jesus. Therefore I have the mind of Christ, and the wisdom of
- God is formed within me.(II Cor. 5:17; Eph. 2:10; I Cor. 2:16)
-
- I have put off the old man, and put on the new man, which is renewed
- in knowledge after the image of Him that created me. (Col. 3:10)
-
- I have received the Spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge
- of Him, the eyes of my understanding being enlightened. And I am not
- conformed to this world, but I am transformed by the renewing of my
- mind, and my mind is renewed by the Word of God. (Eph.1:17-18;Rom 12:2)
-
- I am increasing in the knowledge of God, and I am strengthened with
- all might according to His glorious power. (Col. 1:10-11)
-
- I am delivered from the power of darkness, and I am translated into
- the kingdom of His dear Son. (Col. 1:13)

- I grieve not the Holy Spirit of God, whereby I'm sealed unto the day of
- redemption. (Eph. 4:29)
-
- I speak the truth of the Word of God in love, and I grow up into the
- Lord Jesus Christ in all things. (Eph. 4:15)

- flesh. (Prov.4:21-22)
-
- God is on my side, God is in me now, who can be against me? He has
- given unto me all things that pertain unto life and godliness.
- Therefore I am a partaker of His divine nature. (II Cor. 6:16; John
- 10:10; II Peter 1:3-4; Romans 8:31)
-
- I am a believer, and these signs do follow me. In the name of the
- Lord Jesus I cast out demons, I speak with new tongues, and I lay hands
- on the sick and they do recover. (Mark 16:17-18)
-
- Jesus gave me the authority to use His name. And that which I bind
- on earth is bound in heaven. And that which I loose on earth is loosed
- in heaven. Therefore, in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, I bind
- principalities, and powers, and the rulers of the darkness of this
- world. I bind and cast down spiritual wickedness in heavenly places,
- and render them harmless and ineffective against me, in the name of
- Jesus. (Matt. 16:19; John 16:23-24; Eph. 6:12)
-
- I am complete in Him who is the head of all principality and power.
- For I am His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus unto good works,
- which God hath before ordained that I should walk in them. (Col. 2:10;
- Eph. 2:10)
-
- The weapons of my warfare are not carnal, but are mighty through God

- because He cares for me. (I Peter 5:6-7)
-
- Jesus is made unto me wisdom, righteousness, sanctification, and
- redemption, and I have it now. (I Cor. 1:30)
-

- my need according unto His riches in glory by Christ Jesus, and He

- End of Part I. Additional confessions will be uploaded, as I can get
- time to type them up. Again, please use these. Don't accept them
- because you see them here. Check each and every scripture reference.
- Read the verses before and after the reference scriptures, to be sure
- of the context. Pray over them, meditate them, and SAY them. They are
- Words of Life, They are our precious Lord Jesus, in a form we can
- apprehend, and appreciate.
-
- CREDIT: Credit for the first part is wholly God's, for without Him I
- can do nothing. The confessions are the work of God, of course, through
- Charles Capps, and the last 5, on page 7, are Kenneth Copeland's 5
- Basic Confessions. I give praise and glory to God, for having brought
- the knowledge of these, His men, into my life. I pray this word will do
- as much and more, for you, as it has me.
