  7. Thank you for trying CD Audio! CD Audio is an audio CD player for
  8. Windows with the following features:
  9.  
  10.     - Nice look and feel: 3-D buttons, color, icons, etc.
  11.     - Programming of custom track sequences for playback,
  12.       including unique "Fit to Tape" feature for home recording
  13.     - Maintains a disc database of disc titles, artists,
  14.       song titles, and disc programs
  15.     - Disc database is totally compatible with MusicBox; allows
  16.       import and export
  17.     - Allows printing of track titles for cassette labels
  18.     - Works in either Windows 3.1 or 3.0 (does not require the
  19.       Multimedia Extensions)
  20.     - Full online Help

  22. To run CD Audio, you need the following:
  23.  
  24.     - Windows 3.1 or 3.0 (Multimedia Extensions are not required)
  25.     - Microsoft CD-ROM Extensions (MSCDEX), version 2.20 or above
  26.     - Visual Basic runtime (VBRUN100.DLL)
  27.  
  28. These are not included with CD Audio; however, you can download MSCDEX
  29. version 2.21 from the Microsoft Software Library forum (GO MSL-1), 
  30. filename CDEXT.EXE; and you can download VBRUN100.DLL from the
  31. Microsoft Basic forum (GO MSBASIC), section 5 (Visual Basic), filename
  32. VBRUN.ZIP.

  34. The version you have is an unregistered copy of CD Audio. It is exactly
  35. the same as the full version, except that it will stop playback every
  36. 20 minutes and ask you to register. For more information, run the
  37. Help Shareware command.

  39. A registered copy of CD Audio costs only $20. To order one, run the
  40. Help Order Form command.

  42. WORD FOR WINDOWS USERS: WinWord can hang on File Open, if you have an
  43. audio CD in your CD-ROM drive. Microsoft has fixed this bug with an
  44. interim release of WinWord, version 2.0a, which is available free of
  45. charge to registered users. Contact Microsoft Product Support at
  46. 206-462-9673.
