PACKAGING LIST:
MIDICalc is distributed by SoundIdeas Productions with the following files:
MIDICALC.EXE Version 1.0 of MIDICalc
MIDICALC.DEF Default Settings and Other Necessary Data
MIDICALC.WRI The MIDICalc Manual
REGISTER.TXT Registration Form
README.1ST This document
If any of these files is missing, you have received an unauthorized
copy of MIDICalc. Please download another copy of MCALC100.ZIP,
notify the Sysop where you downloaded this copy, and/or contact
SoundIdeas Productions.
Feel free to upload MCALC100.ZIP to other BBS's or to share it with
friends. All we ask is it that you do not change, rename, add to, or delete
any of the files, and that you upload the package as MCALC100.ZIP. Thanks.
REQUIREMENTS:
MIDICalc requires Windows 3 and Microsoft's VBRUN100.DLL. If you do
not have VBRUN100.DLL and you did not already download VBRUN100.ZIP,
please do so before attempting to run MIDICalc. VBRUN100.ZIP is
available on most BBS's that carry files for Windows, and it should be
available on the same BBS from which you downloaded MCALC100.
INSTALLATION:
Unzip VBRUN100 and copy VBRUN100.DLL to a directory that is named in your
PATH statement. It is recommended that you place it in your Windows
directory so that other applications may also find it. You need only one
copy of VBRUN100.DLL regardless of the number of programs you use that
require it.
Unzip MCALC100 and copy all the files contained within it, to the
directory of your choice -- it does not need to be named in your PATH
statement. The first time you run MIDICalc, or any time that you move it
to a new directory, you will be prompted for the drive and directory where
MIDICalc's files can be found. MIDICALC.EXE, MIDICALC.DEF, MIDICALC.WRI, and
MIDICALC.KEY (registered versions) must be kept in the same directory.
If you wish to use On-Line Help, WRITE.EXE (which comes with Windows 3)
must be located in your Windows directory.
REGISTRATION:
MIDICalc is NOT free, nor is it in the Public Domain. Rather, this copy has
been provided to give you a chance to evaluate MIDICalc for up to 30 days,
and then decide whether it meets your needs. I'm sure you'l find MIDICalc
useful and that you won't want to give it up. If you do continue to use
MIDICalc after the 30-day evaluation period, you are required to register it.
When you do register you will not only be granted a software license to
continue using MIDICalc, but you will also be given a Key Code that, once
entered, will enable the Save/Recall features and disable those pesky
registration reminders.
To register MIDICalc, print the file REGISTER.TXT. Send the completed
form with your check or money order for $25 (U.S. funds) to:

THE MIDICalc MANUAL and ON-LINE HELP:
Please take a few minutes to look through MIDICALC.WRI and familiarize
yourself with all of MIDICalc's many functions and operations. You may

beginning of the manual. Otherwise, you may click on any of MIDICalc's

mouse to obtain topic-specific Help).
If you have any questions, comments, concerns, or suggestions about MIDICalc,
you can contact me at the address above or, for faster response, leave me a
message on any of a number of BBS's listed at the end of the Manual.
