Warships 2.5 - The "Classic" Battleship Game. For the purist who
wants an unadulterated version of the original game. Play is
against the computer with both player selection of ship position
and random ship positioning. Other options include which player
goes first, play level (one of three), single shot and salvo mode,
and sound toggle. Input can be via a mouse, joystick, or
keyboard with both the joystick and keyboard using a mouse-like
interface. (No more typing a1 to locate a shot, just point and
click.) Easy enough for a child of three to use. Features
EGA/VGA 640x350 (mode 10h) graphics, background music, and
interesting sound effects. Registration is $15; benefits
include support, printed manual and strategy guide, and the
latest registered version of the game. As reviewed in
Shareware Magazine Vol. VIII No. 1 JAN-FEB 1993 pp 41-42,
"from the depth charges to sinking sounds, this version of
Warships brings dazzling new dimensions to the game,
complete with ripples in the water for each shot fired."

Digital Audio Collection Series - A collection of high quality digital
audio files in various formats. Are you having trouble obtaining
quality digital audio files for your sound card? Are you afraid
to order sound files from a vendor because they don't give
descriptions of what is in their collections? Are you tired of
downloading junk from your local BBS? We have the answer. We
have sifted through hundreds of digital audio files and selected
the best for our collections. In some cases we have enhanced
them to improve their quality. We provide descriptions so you
will know exactly what you are getting. And, we can supply them
in .WAV or .VOC formats.
These disks are priced at $5 each or any 3 disks for $12.
Rating system:
E Excellent - Clear, clean, hi fidelity.
VG Very Good - Clear, very little noise, good fidelity.
G Good - Clear, some noise, good fidelity.
F Fair - Understandable, some noise, low fidelity.
P Poor - May be understandable, high noise, very low fidelity.
Note that rating is very subjective and your listening tastes
may differ from ours. We offer the ratings to help you in your
selection. We cannot guarantee that these files will be suitable
for any purpose. No liability shall be assumed for direct or
consequential damage caused by the use of these sound files.
TAG SOFTWARE makes absolutely no claim of copyright to these
sounds. All were previously available publicly on various public
services and public BBS systems. All we have done is convert
them from their original Macintosh, Atari ST, Sounder, and .VOC
formats to the .WAV or .VOC formats. In some cases we have
increased the volume, clipped excessive leading/trailing noise or
silence, or applied a noise reduction filter.
All files are mono 8-bit sounds with sample rates ranging from
5500 to 22222 samples per second. Each disk has been sized to
squeeze as much as possible onto a 360K 5.25" diskette.
Want to mix and match? We will consider it. Send us a letter
detailing what you want and we will respond with a price. The
price should not be much more than $5 for each disk needed to
fulfill the request.
If we don't have what you want, send us a letter detailing what
you are looking for. We are constantly looking for new and
better sound files. We may have found it already. At the least
we can send you an updated catalog.
