  24.  We believe the program to be bug free and fully functional.  We 
  25.  and others have been using it for months without problems.

  27.  Since this is the first release, we encourage any feedback as to 
  28.  what you would like to see in future versions, and also any bugs 
  29.  or problems with the program.

  37.  Unlicensed copies of Address Manager are 100% fully functional.

  95.            HOW TO INSTALL ADDRESS MANAGER 
  96.  
  97.   Use our snazzy setup program...

  99.     1) Close down all extraneous Windows applications.  
  100.        (You do have to be in Windows to run SETUP.EXE)
  101.  
  102.     2) Double-Click on the SETUP-AM.EXE program.
  103.  
  104.     3) When the setup program asks for a directory, specify initial 
  105.        directory, or accept the given default (C:\ADDRESS).
  106.

  108.   NOTE: ONCE YOU HAVE ADDRESS MANAGER UP AND RUNNING, SELECT THE 
  109.     FILE/SETTINGS... MENU AND PUT YOUR CORRECT AREA CODE INSIDE.

  113.       CONVERTING DATA FROM OTHER FORMATS
  114.  
  115.  A handy conversion utility, written in our *just wonnerful* Windows batch
  116.  language, WinBatch, has been provided for your convenience.  You will find
  117.  a compiled version of the batch file on the diskette (ADIMPORT.EXE).  
  118.  
  119.  Tto convert your pre-existing data files, follow the steps below.
  120.  
  121.  1) Make an input file in our standard format.  The input file for ADIMPORT
  122.  may be either comma or tab delimited.  Items may be enclosed within double
  123.  quotes.  Most any product can export these types of files.  dBase, 123,
  124.  Excel, and most any reasonable program can export these files.
  125.  
  126.  2) If the fields your program manages to export are not in our 
  127.  "standard format", use a product like Excel, 123, AsEasyAs, dBase,
  128.  PC-File, or many others to move the columns around.  
  129.  (Consult the product documentation or their tech support people to
  130.  do this.  Don't call us, we don't have a clue.)
  131.  
  132.  3) You MUST use the IN extension.  A valid file name would be ADIMPORT.IN
  133.  
  134.  4) Oh.  Our standard format is defined below.  All the following lines 
  135.  will work.  (Oh and where you see a %, we really mean TAB)
  136.

  138.    The input file for ADIMPORT may be either comma or tab delimited.  
  139.    Individual items may be optionally enclosed within double quotes.

  173.  5) Run Address Manager, and make sure it comes up and runs with the correct
  174.  data file.  Now you are ready.  Run the ADIMPORT.EXE or the ADIMPORT.WBT
  175.  file, Select the desired file to import, specify type of file (Tab or
  176.  Comma delimited) and watch.  (About 8 seconds an address on my machine)

  217.  SOFTWARE LICENSE

  219.  Address Manager is not and has never been public domain 
  220.  software, nor is it free software. 
  221.  
  222.  Non-licensed users are granted a limited license to use Address
  223.  Manager on a 21-day trial basis for the purpose of determining 
  224.  whether Address Manager is suitable for their needs.  The use 
  225.  of Address Manager, except for the initial 21-day trial, 
  226.  requires registration.  The use of unlicensed copies of Address 
  227.  Manager, outside of the initial 21-day trial, by any person, 
  228.  business, corporation, government agency or any other entity is 
  229.  strictly prohibited.

  231.  A single user license permits a user to use Address Manager
  232.  only on a single computer.  Licensed users may use the
  233.  program on different computers, but may not use the program
  234.  on more than one computer at the same time.

  236.  No one may modify or patch the Address Manager executable files 
  237.  in any way,  including but not limited to decompiling, 
  238.  disassembling, or otherwise reverse engineering the program.

  240.  A limited license is granted to copy and distribute Address 
  241.  Manager only for the trial use of others, subject to the above 
  242.  limitations, and also the following:

  244.   1)    Address Manager must be copied in unmodified form, complete
  245.     with the file containing this license information.

  247.   2)    The full machine-readable Address Manager documentation must
  248.     be included with each copy.

  251.     any other  product with out a specific license to do so

  257.     A) Operators of electronic bulletin board systems (sysops)
  258.        may make Address Manager available for downloading only as
  259.        long as the above conditions are met.  An overall or
  260.        time-dependent charge for the use of the bulletin board
  261.        system is permitted as long as there is not a specific
  262.        charge for the download of Address Manager.

  264.     B) Vendors of user-supported or shareware software approved by
  265.        the ASP may distribute Address Manager, subject to the
  266.        above conditions, without specific permission.  Non-
  267.        approved vendors may distribute Windows Reminder only after
  268.        obtaining written permission from Wilson WindowWare.
  269.        Such permission is usually granted.  Please write for
  270.        details (enclose your catalog).  Vendors may charge a
  271.        disk duplication and handling fee, which, when pro-rated
  272.        to the Address Manager product, may not exceed eight dollars.

  274.     C) Non-profit user groups may distribute copies of the 
  275.        Address Manager diskette to their members, subject to 
  276.        the above conditions, without specific permission.  
  277.        Non-profit groups may collect a disk duplication fee 
  278.        not to exceed five dollars.

  280.   LIMITED WARRANTY

  282.   Wilson WindowWare guarantees your satisfaction with this
  283.   product for a period of 90 days from the date of original
  284.   purchase.  If you are unsatisfied with Address Manager
  285.   within that time period, return the package in saleable
  286.   condition to the place of purchase for a full refund.

  288.   Wilson WindowWare warrants that all disks provided are
  289.   free from defects in material and workmanship, assuming
  290.   normal use, for a period of 90 days from the date of
  291.   purchase.

  293.   Wilson WindowWare warrants that the program will perform
  294.   in substantial compliance with the documentation supplied
  295.   with the software product.  If a significant defect in
  296.   the product is found, the Purchaser may return the
  297.   product for a refund.  In no event will such a refund
  298.   exceed the purchase price of the product.

  300.   EXCEPT AS PROVIDED ABOVE, WILSON WINDOWWARE DISCLAIMS ALL
