  3. WINEZ 3.0B PRODUCT RELEASE NOTES
  4. --------------------------------

  6. The following information is considered important for the user
  7. to know.
  8.  
  9. * WinEZ 3.0b if fully compatible with Windows 3.0, Windows 3.1,
  10.   Norton Desktop 1.0, and Norton Desktop 2.0.
  11.  
  12. * New Feature...
  13.   Start new applications, switch to, and now... "End" applications
  14.   all from the WinEZ pull down menus.  The Task List icon now
  15.   contains the feature to end other active applications.
  16.  
  17. * Use the right mouse button with the "Fast Path" icon to switch you
  18.   directly to the Program Manager (or Norton Desktop).
  19.  
  20. * To get the WinEZ "Power Menu" to stay up without having to hold
  21.   the left mouse button down, drag the cursor to the first
  22.   application group on the list.  The Power Menu will stay up and
  23.   you may then pick and chose application groups.
  24.  
  25. * For Norton support, the Norton Desktop shell must be installed
  26.   on Windows invocation.  This is accomplished in the SYSTEM.INI
  27.   file on the "shell=" line (i.e. shell=C:\NORTON\NDW.EXE).

  29. * Norton group file names must end in the .QAG extension (this is
  30.   the Norton default extension).
  31.  
  32. * Under the Norton Desktop, WinEZ should not be automatically started
  33.   as part of the "Start Up" group.  Instead load WinEZ via "load ="
  34.   statement found in the file WIN.INI.  WinEZ's installation program
  35.   will automatically do this for you.

  37. * Users of Lotus Notes: WinEZ is fully compatible with Lotus Notes.
  38.   WinEZ does not attach to the Lotus Notes menus (all Lotus Notes
  39.   users should verify they are running WinEZ 3.0b).

  41. * If for some reason you are having problems executing version
  42.   3.0, delete the files WINEZ.DAT and WINEZ.INI from your Windows
  43.   subdirectory, then restart WinEZ (write registration nbr down).
