WINEZ 3.0B PRODUCT RELEASE NOTES
--------------------------------
The following information is considered important for the user
to know.
* WinEZ 3.0b if fully compatible with Windows 3.0, Windows 3.1,
Norton Desktop 1.0, and Norton Desktop 2.0.
* New Feature...
Start new applications, switch to, and now... "End" applications
all from the WinEZ pull down menus. The Task List icon now
contains the feature to end other active applications.
* Use the right mouse button with the "Fast Path" icon to switch you
directly to the Program Manager (or Norton Desktop).
* To get the WinEZ "Power Menu" to stay up without having to hold
the left mouse button down, drag the cursor to the first
application group on the list. The Power Menu will stay up and
you may then pick and chose application groups.
* For Norton support, the Norton Desktop shell must be installed
on Windows invocation. This is accomplished in the SYSTEM.INI
file on the "shell=" line (i.e. shell=C:\NORTON\NDW.EXE).
* Norton group file names must end in the .QAG extension (this is
the Norton default extension).
* Under the Norton Desktop, WinEZ should not be automatically started
as part of the "Start Up" group. Instead load WinEZ via "load ="
statement found in the file WIN.INI. WinEZ's installation program
will automatically do this for you.
* Users of Lotus Notes: WinEZ is fully compatible with Lotus Notes.
WinEZ does not attach to the Lotus Notes menus (all Lotus Notes
users should verify they are running WinEZ 3.0b).
* If for some reason you are having problems executing version
3.0, delete the files WINEZ.DAT and WINEZ.INI from your Windows
subdirectory, then restart WinEZ (write registration nbr down).
For other information and design notes, refer to the included
WINEZ3.TXT file.
