  1. The Compare screen has three important sections:
  2. the Backup Set Catalog drop-down list box, and
  3. the Compare From and Compare To combination
  4. boxes. The Backup Set Catalog designates which
  5. master catalog you are currently working with.
  6. The Compare From combination box designates the
  7. drive which the backup files will be read
  8. (usually floppy disks). The Compare To
  9. combination box defines where to compare the
  10. backup files to (usually you would compare a
  11. backup set to its original locations; for the
  12. DOS directory backup set, choosing Original
  13. Locations would compare the backup files against
  14. the files located in the C:\DOS directory.)

  16. Use the default settings for the combination
  17. boxes for the DOS directory backup disks.  The
  18. Compare Files option will be set to All Files
  19. since you want to compare all the files from the
  20. DOS directory backup.

  22. To set the Compare Files option to All Files,
  23. highlight the C: drive icon immediately below
  24. the Compare Files label.  After this option is
  25. set, you're ready begin the Compare operation.

  27. When you're ready to compare, press Enter.
