README file for the NOSY program (ver. 2.0)
================================================================
Thank you for giving the NOSY program a try. This program is a
fun, easy-to-digest explanation of number systems. The basic
program will teach number systems to children. But even those
adults who have only a very hazy idea of what number systems
really are will find the program enlightening. The advanced
topics include material that is all too often not well explained
or understood but is vital to any student or adult who plans to
study computers or program them. For IBM PC or compatible with
256K of RAM.
This is a shareware program. That means that you can try it
without paying much money. But if you use the program, you are
expected to pay the author for it. It works on the honor system.
But then it costs only $20. Is that a bargain or what?
If you register the program by paying, you will get, as a bonus,
instructions for how to start the games that are in the file
GAME.EXE. These games are races between number systems. They are
fun to play and interesting. They reinforce the idea of what
number systems are as taught by the NOSY program. There is nothing
like a game to put a point across painlessly. Also, you will be
able to get help by phone or mail if you have a problem and you
will be notified of updates and improvements.
Please send the check to

You should make a backup copy of this diskette right away. One
way to run the program is to put the diskette into drive A, make
drive A the "current drive", and type NOSY <RETURN>.
Have fun with the program.
