DEEDPLT was written and compiled in Microsoft QuickBASIC Ver 4.5, date stamp
88-09-28. This is the first version released to the public, and undoubtedly
contains more bugs than a case of used Roach Hostels. Rumors have it that
programs compiled with QuickBASIC 4.5 require DOS 2.1 or better. I know that
DOS 3.3 works. <FEEDBACK>
MSHERC.COM, an undocumented program included with QuickBASIC, is necessary to
support the Hercules (mono) Graphics Adapter. <MSHERC.DOX>
The HyperRez hypertext program used to create Virtually Virtual Virtuosity <VVV>
is freeware, compliments of MaxThink.
The text (including this file) was written and edited with <BLACKBEA.RD>, the

The text (including this file) was spell checked with <SharSpel>, a shareware
spell checker from Acropolis Software. A <glossary> is assembled from words
not in its dictionary. Technical words specific to surveying or words used in
an unusual way are <TechWord>s.
DEEDPLT is part of a continuous series of surveying programs which was started
in 1965 on an IBM 1620. Many computers and more programs have been supported
since. The immediate predecessor is CAVEMAP1.BAS written in GW-BASIC, and
distributed in the shareware package SURVEY LAND YOURSELF. DEEDPLT is designed
to only cover those functions needed to plot a land description.
SURVEYIT, A compass & tape surveying program, supporting multiple instrument
readings, backsights, inclinometer, multiple loops and branches, &c etc et
cetera is in progress. If you need to survey it yourself with a compass &
tape, ask. <SLY>
WINDOWS. There is NO WINDOWS version. There has never been a WINDOWS
version. There will never be a WINDOWS version (unless you write it).
Please note that there is presently a malicious war being fought on the hard
disks of America, between the forces of $10.00 software and the forces of
$1000. software. Some diabolically sociopathic programmer may have insinuated
a malignant warrior for the malevolent forces of evil into my code, either
before or after it left my shop.

caused you any trouble, then immediately contact me. byter@mcimail.com
