  1. Congratulations! You now have a copy of SkyGlobe 3.5, the fast, fun, and
  2. easy astronomy program. SkyGlobe 3.5 is the fastest program of its kind
  3. available, and provides a realistic and beautiful display of the splendor
  4. of the heavens. You can instantly change your computer view of the cosmos
  5. to suit your own tastes, or use one of the many animation modes to simulate
  6. celestial motion. Use SkyGlobe to plan a night's viewing, teach yourself
  7. about the universe around us, or just to show off the graphics of your
  8. computer. SkyGlobe displays 25,000 stars, constellation lines, the planets,
  9. Sun, and Moon, the Messier Objects, the Milky Way, and ecliptic, horizon,
  10. and RA-Dec grid lines, for any time and date, from over 230 locations
  11. around the world. Viewing direction can be quickly changed with easy
  12. keystrokes, so quickly that the effect is just like turning your head.
  13. Zoom in or out in the blink of an eye, or use the handy Turbo mode with
  14. Zoom to create a warp factor-like effect of racing through the stars. The
  15. mouse will constantly tell you the locations and names of bright stars,
  16. or use it to re-center the display at any point of interest. Stars, planets,
  17. constellations, and Messier Objects can be located through menus. Try the
  18. nifty Sidereal Time mode to preview the movements of your favorite planet
  19. for the coming months. Learn the constellations by turning the lines on
  20. and off, and see if you can see the shapes the ancients saw. There is no
  21. better or more beautiful way to use your computer to educate yourself
  22. or your children about the wonders of the night sky. Many more commands

  30. PS This is actually a maintenance update, V3.52, with mostly minor
  31.    documentation changes, and a slight restructuring of the BBS
  32.    download package.  The change from V3.51 is extremely minor.
