  8. Hi All,
  9. Since getting QWKRR128.V1.0  I've been kinda "beta tested" the prg &
  10. have come across really "1" problem.
  11. This seem's to involve the "control.dat" file that come's with the
  12. mailbagg.
  13. Now from what I can see Some(wildcat bbs's and other's) don't add some
  14. type of control info at the end of the "control.dat" file.
  15.  
  16. Now when looking at the control.dat file(with an asccii txt
  17. reader/editior) you see at the begining-
  18. bbs name
  19. sysop name
  20. a number and bbs name
  21. date & time
  22. your name
  23.  
  24. Now, after this you see all the msg. area's that your bbs carries in
  25. this format-
  26.  
  27. 101
  28. cars
  29. 102
  30. tele
  31. 108
  32. pets
  33. and so on,now the problem start's after all the msg. area's are listed
  34. along with the welcome,new's,and goodbye.ans there's supouse to be
  35. some control info that's just not there!
  36.  
  37. Now,how do we fix this problem?

  39. By adding the following lines (by apending this to the end of the
  40. control.dat in accii)

  44. YOUR NAME IN CAPS
  45. Your Name with CAPS for 1st letter like"Erik Randolph"

  48. 914-877-6813(put your ph.# here)

  52. 09:47(the time in this format)

  69. So when done your Modified control.dat file should look something like

  117. So There you have it,I'm not sure if this is the problem that a few of
  118. you guy's/gal's but,if you after looking at your bbs's control.dat
  119. file find that the info is missing at the end of the file ,appened
  120. with the info provied it should WORK!!!

  123. ego,patting me on the back & So on!!(BIG EVIL GRIN!!!)
