  1. Operation Lo-Ball
  2.  
  3. German 120mm and 88mm Flak batteries have 
  4. been giving our bombers a rough time and 
  5. taking a terrible toll on the attacking 
  6. streams.
  7.  
  8. It has been decided to strike the facility 
  9. at Altenbeuna engine factory and to send in 
  10. a low level attack on the Flak batteries 
  11. stationed around this facility. 
  12.  
  13. The operation has been given the name of 
  14. Lo-Ball. You are to fly a bomb and rocket 
  15. armed P-47D with a lone wingman for cover 
  16. and take out these as many of the Flak 
  17. batteries before the bombers arrive there. 
  18.  
  19. This is a Flak suppression mission and your 
  20. primary targets are the guns themselves. 
  21. After you take out as many as you can and 
  22. the bombers have bombed their primary 
  23. target nearby you are free to return to 
  24. base or help out the other P47s flying 
  25. escort for the B17s.
