  4. designed to help you when you are in Brooklyn, before the Gold Rush !
  5. These are just hints to help you, but with them, you will be able to
  6. finish the game. Good luck, and enjoy !

  13. What is the object of GOLD RUSH!?

  15. Hint:
  16. The object is to get out of Brooklyn as fast as you can and get
  17. to Sacramento, California to search for your brother Jake
  18. and find the Mother Lode (GOLD!).

  21. Problem:
  22. That sure is a nice Gazebo in the park. Is there something there I
  23. need?

  25. Hint:
  26. Yes.

  28. Hint:
  29. Walk inside the gazebo and "look gazebo".

  32. Look at the cracks in the floor. You might find something.

  34. Hint:
  35. Walk to the middle of the gazebo and "look cracks" you will
  36. notice a gold coin. GET IT!

  39. Problem:
  40. I've got the letter, now what?

  42. Hint:
  43. Have you tried looking at the letter?

  45. Hint:
  46. Look at the individual components of the letter.

  49. Try looking at the stamp and the postmark.

  52. You should have noticed the lump under the stamp. Get the stamp.

  55. You might as well read the letter.

  59. I am in the cemetery and I'm not sure just what to do?

  61. Hint:
  62. Go around and read the tombstones.

  64. Hint:
  65. Go to the matching tombstones that are connected together
  66. located in the back. These are your parent's graves. Read
  67. both tombstones.

  69. Hint:
  70. Put flowers on the grave. If you haven't any flowers they can
  71. be picked in the park. But don't step on the grass!.

  75. I've noticed that there is a Steam ship near the warehouse. How
  76. can I get a ticket?

  78. Hint:
  79. Read the poster in the warehouse. It will tell you where the
  80. tickets are sold.

  83. Go to 12 Front Street (your neighbor's house) to purchase your
  84. ticket. Type either "buy ticket" or "go ship".

  87. Problem:
  88. I don't seem to have enough money to buy a ticket for either the
  89. stage or the ship. How can I get fast cash?

  92. Sell something.

  95. I know it will be hard but sell your house.

  98. From any where in Brooklyn just type "Sell house".

  102. Oh great! I missed the buyer for my house. What do I do now?

  105. Don't worry the buyer will return shortly. But this time be
  106. outside your house waiting. He'll wait around for 3
  107. minutes then leave.

  111. If I didn't buy a ticket for the steam boat, can I still get to
  112. California?

  115. Of course you can. You can go overland.

  118. The stage coach office is one scene down from Rand's Hardware.

  122. I've bought my stage coach ticket. Where do I find the stage coach?

  125. The stage would be near the Livery Stable.

  128. From the Stage office it would be the scene to the right.
