  41.  The Early Morning Editor Control is a text editor control for
  42.  Visual Basic that can handle large amounts of text.  The control has these
  43.  useful features...
  44.  ...handles lines up to 64K in size.
  45.  ...can handle a practically unlimited (2,147,483,647) number of lines.
  46.  ...supports line and column blocks as well as stream blocks.
  47.  ...supports fixed as well as proportional fonts.
  48.  ...can automatically load and save whole files.
  49.  ...multi-level Undo/Redo
  50.  ...built-in Search/Replace functionality

  61.  shouldn't affect your ability to evaluate the control.  The registered
  62.  version of the control is the same as the unregistered version but has

  72.   Visual Basic >= 1.0.

  77. DISTRIBUTING THE CONTROL

  80.   You may freely distribute EMEDIT.VBX with applications that you build
  81.   with the editor control, there are no run-time royalties of any kind.
  82.   You may build and distribute applications with an unregistered control, 
  83.   however the VBX will display nag screens.  Registering the VBX gets 
  84.   rid of the nag screens.  The registered version of the VBX comes with 
  85.   a licence file (emedit.lic) that may not be distributed.  If you have built 
  86.   an application with an unregistered VBX then when you get the 
  87.   registered VBX you should go into Visual Basic and then open and 
  88.   save every form that has an editor control on it, doing this prevents 
  89.   nag screens from being displayed when the application is run since 
  90.   the editor controls on a form remember if they were instantiated at 
  91.   design time by a registered or unregistered VBX.

  109.  In addition to registered copies of the control, the C++ source code
  110.  to the control may also be ordered.  The source code requires
  111.  Borland C++ 4.0, Microsoft source is not available.  The source code
  112.  is supplied as is and is not supported in any way.  If you are going
  113.  to order the source code then you should probably also order the registered
  114.  version of the control but it is not strictly necessary.  The control
  115.  determines if it is registered by looking in the directory from which
  116.  it was loaded for the presence of a valid license file.  The license
  117.  is only distributed with the registered version of the control, without
  118.  the registered control you will not be able to use the source without
  119.  modifying it yourself to disable the nag screens.
  120.  In order to build the control from the source you must also have
  121.  a copy of vbapi.lib (it comes with the Visual Basic Professional
  122.  Edition, for instance).
