POVCAD v4.03 for Windows Installation
==========================================================================
By the time you read this file, you will have unzipped PVCWIN.ZIP which
contains:
readme.1st This file
povcad4.wri Shareware, registration and legal information
povcad4.zip Archive containing POVCAD files (listed below)
These files should be in a special directory before you continue. If this
isn't the case, then:
1. Create a new directory (e.g., C:\POVCAD4).
2. Move these files to the new directory:
povcad40.wri
povcad4.zip
3. Unzip the archive POVCAD4.ZIP with the -d command line switch to
preserve the subdirectory structure. The archive POVCAD4.ZIP contains
a subdirectory called SYSTEM, which contains files that should be moved
to your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory.
The archive contains the following files:
cmdialog.vbx VB extension library
colors.def List of colors for Polyray
colors.pv List of colors for POV 1.x
colors.pv2 List of colors for POV 2.x
dosprmpt.pif Windows Program Information File for command.com

polycolr.inc POV colors converted for use with Polyray
polytex.inc Some custom Polyray textures

textures.def List of textures for Polyray
textures.pv List of textures for POV 1.x
textures.pv2 List of textures for POV 2.x
threed.vbx VB extension library
vbmsg.vbx VB extension library
4. Make sure you have the file vbrun300.dll in your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory
(POVCAD won't run without it!). If you don't have it, you can obtain it
from CompuServe (GO WINSHARE, LIB 1, vbrun3.zip).
5. Move the files threed.vbx, cmdialog.vbx, vbmsg.vbx and ctl3dv2.dll to
your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. All other files should remain in the new
C:\POVCAD40 directory.
6. Create program icons for POVCAD40.EXE and POVCAD40.HLP in the Program
Group of your choice using Program Manager. (Read your Windows manual
for detailed instructions on this).
7. Use the file POVCAD4.REG to register POVCAD 4 with the Windows
Registration Database (REGEDIT.EXE).
8. Enjoy!
9. Register!! (Thanks!)
