  20. REQUIREMENTS
  21. ----------------------

  23. - You need to have Video for Windows installed on your system to be able to 
  24.   play AVI files.
  25.  
  26. - A sound card as well as the drivers for your sound card need to be installed 
  27.   correctly.
  28.  
  29. - Versi Player is a Windows program. You need Windows 3.1 or Windows for 
  30.   Workgroups 3.1 to use Versi Player.

  36. 1) Unzip this Archive in the directory of your choice.
  37.  
  38. 2) Run the setup.exe program by either double clicking setup.exe in the File
  39.    Manager or while in Program Manager Select the RUN menu option and type in
  40.    the path to Versi Player's setup.exe. ( i.e. c:\temp\setup.exe )

  42. 3) Now select which directory you would like Versi Player to be installed to
  43.    ( Default is C:\VPLAYER ).

  45. - Thats it!  The installation program will create a group in Program Manager 
  46.   for Versi Player.

  52. - Versi Player allows you to drag and drop files from the File Manager onto 
  53.   Versi Player's window.  From there all you need to do is press the Play 
  54.   button. ** Hint: The easiest way to do this is to click on Versi Players
  55.   Stay Ontop button, Which will allow Versi Player to remain uncovered by 
  56.   the File Manager's window thereby allowing you to easly drag and drop 
  57.   files onto Versi Players window.

  59. - You may also associate Versi Player with selected files in File Manager. 
  60.   Double clicking on a file will start Versi Player and Versi Player will
  61.   automaticlly play that file for you.

  63. - If you receive a "Type mismatch" error while trying to start Versi Player
  64.   delete Versi Players INI (vplayer.ini) file (located in your Windows 
  65.   directory). Now restart Versi Player.
  66.  
  67. - You can preview the files before opening them in the file open dialog by 
  68.   clicking on the file and waiting for a second.  A window will appear in the
  69.   lower left hand side of the dialog box allowing you to play the selected file.

  71. - Versi Player's window can be resized like any other program. Just click and
  72.   drag on the most outer edge of the window.
