  1. Brain Jam will run only under Windows 3.x and compatible operating systems.
  2. It consists of the files BRAINJAM.EXE, BRAINJAM.HLP, and README.TXT.

  4. Copy these files to your hard disk. To install Brain Jam in Program Manager,
  5. select the File menu and then select New...  In the dialog
  6. box that then appears select Program Item, then click on OK.  In the 
  7. Program Item Properties dialog box fill in the Command Line box with the
  8. full path of the BRAINJAM executable.  For example, if you have copied
  9. Brain Jam to the C:\BRAINJAM directory, type C:\BRAINJAM\BRAINJAM.EXE into
  10. the Command Line box.  In the Description box type Brain Jam.
  11. Then press OK.  The Brain Jam icon should now appear in
  12. the currently selected program group.  You may drag and drop this icon into
  13. any other program group if you wish.

  15. If you use a desktop manager other than Program Manager, please consult the 
  16. documentation for that product.

  18. Once you have activated Brain Jam by double-clicking on its icon, select
  19. the Help menu for full instructions on using and registering Brain Jam.

  21. Brain Jam comes in shareware and commercial/registered versions.
  22. The version can be identified by clicking on the Help/About menu.  
  23. Generally the shareware version may be redistributed while the commercial
  24. version may not; for further information consult the Legal Matters section
  25. in the online Help.

  44. 1.9 - card faces are copied from Microsoft Solitaire,
  45.       which must be resident in the WINDOWS directory.
  46.       If not, a procedurally generated set of cards is used.

  48.     - fixed a nasty bug that would crash some video drivers after
  49.       winning a game or trying to exit the program.

  53.     - solutions are kept in the file BRAINJAM.SOL instead of
  54.       BRAINJAM.INI.  If you are upgrading from a previous version,
  55.       existing solutions will automatically be transferred from
  56.       BRAINJAM.INI to BRAINJAM.SOL.  It is recommended that you make
  57.       a backup of the BRAINJAM.INI file before doing  this transfer.

  59.       If you have several old BRAINJAM.INI files
  60.       you can merge their contents into BRAINJAM.SOL by following 
  61.       the procedure for each of the files:
  62.        1) rename the file to BRAINJAM.INI
  63.        2) load Brain Jam
  64.        3) unload Brain Jam
  65.       Note that if this INI file contains solutions for games included in
  66.       previously transferred files, shorter new solutions will replace the
  67.       longer old ones.
