  1. HangWin is the traditional Hangman word game in a Windows 3.1 package.
  2. Registered versions of HangWin include several large dictionaries from
  3. which words are taken.  For fun, HangWin can produce user selected
  4. sounds on a Windows-supported sound card.

  6. HangWin can install on and be run from a floppy, however, it is best
  7. run from a hard drive.  To install HangWin, make sure Windows is
  8. running and launch install.exe from the source drive.  After prompting
  9. you for an installation directory (with drive letter), install.exe will
  10. move the necessary files (while decompressing them) and create the
  11. HangWin initialization file, hangwin.ini.

  13. Finally, install.exe will ask if it is okay to create a program group
  14. for HangWin.  If you do not use the standard Windows boot shell,
  15. progman.exe, or if your destination drive is a floppy, you should
  16. bypass this step by pressing the "NO" button.

  18. If you downloaded an archive file from a bbs or an on-line service,
  19. you can unarchive the file directly to a source drive (usually a
  20. floppy drive).  The install.exe can then be launched from the floppy
  21. in order to install HangWin onto your destination drive.
