Mira is a simple game to play, however users who are not familiar with the
Windows operating environment may need to seek help from a Windows manual.
The Basics:
1. At startup you are presented with some choices. You must decide
between watching the introduction scene or playing immediately.
2. At the end of the introduction scene, you are presented the choice
between playing the game or attending a briefing first.
3. Playing the game is easy. On each mission you are equipped with two
weapons, a laser and a torpedo launcher. These are represented by two
icons at the bottom center of the screen. The two icons at the bottom right
represent the ammount of amunition that you have remaining, and will count
down with each shot. The box at the lower left records the number of kills.
To kill the enemy ships you simply point the mouse at the icon representing
the weapon that you want to use and press and hold the left mouse button.
The mouse pointer will change to a sight for the weapon. Still holding the
mouse button down, drag the sight to the ship you want to kill and drop it.
If your aim was good enough, the ship will be destroyed and a
kill will be assessed in the kill box. The icon labled "exit" will quit the
game if clicked. Pretty simple, right? Maybe in the fist few levels where
you only have to kill a few ships, and they move slowly. If it seems easy,
just wait. When you have killed a sufficient number of ships for the level
you are on you will be able to progress.
4. If you have a question that these instructions do not cover, please
contact the above address. Also, comments and constructive critsism would
be appreciated.
