  1. Pub Poker Version 2.0c Shareware

  4. Thanks for trying out Pub Poker Version 2.0c. Follow these simple steps to
  5. install Pub Poker on your system.
  6.  
  7. Please note: Pub Poker is written in Microsoft Visual Basic. The Visual Basic
  8. run-time library file VBRUN300.DLL must be installed in the \Windows\System
  9. directory of your computer for Pub Poker to run. VBRUN300.DLL is available  
  10. from Compuserve and Bulletin Board Systems and is not included in the Pub
  11. Poker 2.0c archive.

  15. Archive PP20.ZIP or PP20C.ZIP

  18. 1. Create a directory on one of your system's hard drive(s) to copy the main
  19. Pub Poker files into using File Manager.
  20.  
  21. 2. Copy the following files to the newly created directory:

  23. CHANGES.TXT
  24. CLICK.WAV
  25. COINSIN1.WAV
  26. COINSIN2.WAV
  27. DEAL.WAV
  28. DISTRIBT.TXT
  29. FILE_ID.DIZ

  44. 3. Copy the following files to your \WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory using File
  45. Manager:

  48. FB_TRANS.DLL
  49. MCI.VBX
  50. PICCLIP.VBX
  51. THREED.VBX
  52. SPIN.VBX

  54. 4. In Program Manager, select a Program Group to which you wish to add 
  55. Pub Poker to (or create a new Program Group using the File menu and then 
  56. the New menu option).
  57.  
  58. 5. In Program Manager, using the File menu and then the New (Item) menu
  59. option, choose Browse to navigate to the directory you created in step 1. 
  60. Select PUBPOK10.EXE and then OK to add the Pub Poker executable file to the
  61. Program Group you nominated (or created anew) in step 4.

  63. 6. Double Click the Pub Poker Icon with the mouse to start Pub Poker.

  68. Adding to your Monologue exception dictionary
  69. =============================================
  70.  
  71. A Windows Macro file, PPWORDS.REC, has been included in this archive to
  72. allow updating of your Monologue exception dictionary. To run it you will
  73. need to start the Windows Macro Recorder and Monologue's Dictionary Manager.
  74.  
  75. Load PPWORDS.REC into the Windows Macro Recorder.
  76.  
  77. Switch the focus to the Monologue Dictionary Manager application.
  78.  
  79. Load in your Monologue dictionary or use the Untitled dictionary which 
  80. appears by default when Dictionary Manager is first started.
  81.  
  82. Ensure the flashing cursor is located in the "English Word" field and then 
  83. press the CRTL, SHIFT and DOWN ARROW keys. The macro should start running and
  84. new words should be added to your dictionary. You will be alerted when the 
  85. macro is finished running.

  87. When the macro finishes, SAVE your dictionary and set it as the default
  88. dictionary to be used by Monologue.
  89.  
  90. Exit Dictionary Manager and Windows Macro Recorder.
  91.  
  92. Now Pub Poker will be understandable. You can of course edit any of the new
  93. entries suit your ear.
  94.  
  95. *Note* - The macro *should* work but there have been reports of problems. The
  96. macro doesn't use mouse coordinates - only keystrokes. Some users have
  97. reported that they found the macro would not work in a particular screen 
  98. resolution. If you have any problems you might try changing the resolution
  99. mode of Windows temporarily and trying the macro again.
