DarkSide Software presents:
TIC-TAC-DEATH 1.0
Bring Death to your Desktop!
Intro
This is a stupid game. We admit it. We designed it that way. A bunch of us
were sitting around one day, and we said "Hey, why don't we write a totally
stupid game?" So we did.
Installation
To install the game, just copy these files to a convenient subdirectory
(ie: C:\WINDOWS\TTD). Then run Windows, go to File, hit New, select
Program item. Enter the Program Name (Tic Tac Death), and the EXE name
(ie: C:\WINDOWS\TTD\TTD.EXE). Choose your favorite Icon (we drew a couple),
and you're ready to go.
We'll write an install program for our next game. We promise.
Overview
The game itself is basic Tic-Tac-Toe, but cooler. You know the rules.
History
This was origionally written for DOS, but was then edited and recompiled
for Borland C++ 4.0 for Windows (Blatant unsolicited software plug!), and
total actual work time was just over two weeks (With a LOT of goofing around
interspersed).
Sound Files
The WAV files are left out (unpacked) in the directory, so if anyone wants
to put their own sounds in the game, they can, as long as the origional
archive remains unchanged. When you hear the WAV files, you recongise the
various influences on this game; Beavis and Butthead, The Jerky Boys, and The
Simpsons all deserve honorable mention.
Money
This game is Freeware, use it as long as you like. Bash it, burn it, feed
it to your dog, we don't care.
However, if you think this game is nifty (or you just want to help out with
our psychiatric treatment bills), send $10 to:
DarkSide Software, Inc.
PO Box 260216
Bellerose, NY 11426-0216
Attn: Tic-Tac-Death Donation
Check or money orders only, please. Make them payable to DarkSide Software,
Inc.
About Us
If you have questions about this game, or about our company in general,
send email to:
Ben Morgan: necro@cml.com
Or just mail a letter to the aforementioned address.
Welp, that's it for this one. Look for DeathTris coming soon. After that,
we'll probably move on to more serious games. Maybe.
Hasta.
