  5. SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
  6.  
  7.   WinChess requires a 386 computer with Windows 3.x installed
  8.   and a graphics adapter capable of displaying 256 colors. A
  9.   graphics adapter capable of displaying 32K colors is
  10.   recommended.

  12. INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS
  13.  
  14.   WinChess must be installed onto a hard disk or floppy
  15.   disk with at least 1300KB free space.
  16.  
  17.   1. Go to a DOS command line.
  18.   
  19.   2. Create a directory to install WinChess into.
  20.  
  21.   3. Un-Compress WCHESS22.xxx into that directory. 
  22.      Where xxx is the compression's extention.
  23.      (ZIP and ARJ are common compression programs used)
  24.  
  25.   4. Move CTL3DV2.DLL into your WINDOWS\SYSTEM directory. 
  26.      (CTL3DV2.DLL must be deleted from WinChess's directory)

  28.   5. Go into Windows and either double click on the WINCHESS.EXE file
  29.      in File Manager, or add an icon for WinChess into a group by
  30.      choosing New from the File Menu.
