  4. The GREAT CRUSADE has 
  5. begun!
  6.  
  7. The liberation of Europe 
  8. is underway!
  9.  
  10. Now, up from the beaches,
  11. your combined tank and foot
  12. soldier forces are to move
  13. to secure a couple of key
  14. bridges across a river in
  15. the bocage country.
  16.  
  17. The GIs are tired, hungry
  18. and at the same time, eager
  19. to finish the job started
  20. by the invasion, and get 
  21. back home to the US of A.
  22.  
  23. The Sherman Tanks are slow,
  24. prone to break-down, and 
  25. easy fonder for the sleek,
  26. fast-moving, hard hitting
  27. panzers of the Werhmacht.
  28. But, they are what you have.
  29.  
  30. The Bocage country is great
  31. for grapes, wine and deadly
  32. ambushes.  Machine-Gun nests,
  33. Anti-Tank Gun emplacements
  34. and Panzerfausts seem to lie
  35. in wait at every hedgerow.
  36.  
  37. Watch the cows!  If they are
  38. grazing near a hedgerow, that
  39. usually means there is not an
  40. ambush lurking there.  
  41.  
  42. Listen to the birds!  They do
  43. seem to squak more when diesel
  44. fumes have been in the air.
  45.  
  46. Keep alert!
  47.  
  48. Secure those bridges!
  49.  
  50. This scenario lasts 75 turns.
  51.
