  72. Ars Longa Group, Ltd.  This document contains only a brief description
  73. of the package and its features, along with instructions for its
  74. installation.  Quite detailed documentation is included in the package,
  75. but it is in archived form, and is more easily read after installation.

  80. As You Like It (tm) is a shareware program.  This evaluation version
  81. includes all features of the program, and is not crippled in any way.
  82. You may use it for up to 60 days, without charge (see the HELP file for
  83. more details).  If you like the program, and wish to continue its use

  125. ===== Installation =====================================
  126.  
  127. The installation procedure for As You Like It (tm) is quite simple.  The
  128. package includes a program, "INSTALL.EXE", which automates the
  129. entire process.  You will need about 400K of available disk space
  130. on the hard drive on which you plan to install As You Like It (tm).

  132. The exact steps you need to take will depend on how you received
  133. As You Like It (tm).
  134.

  136. INSTALLING FROM DISKETTES
  137.  
  138. To install from diskette(s), you need to perform the following steps.
  139.  
  140.    o  Place the As You Like It (tm) distribution "PLAYER" diskette in the
  141.       appropriate diskette drive.
  142.  
  143.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program on the distribution diskette.
  144.       From Windows Program Manager, select File... Run... a:install
  145.  
  146.    o  Follow the instructions presented by the installation program.
  147.       You will have a chance to approve installation before any changes
  148.       are actually made to the contents of your hard drive.  The
  149.       program will ask you for a destination directory, and will copy
  150.       the As You Like It (tm) files to that directory.  If you received
  151.       a second "BOOKS" diskette, simply repeat the process above on it.
  152.       If you so direct it, the installation program will install
  153.       executable programs and documentation in other directories of
  154.       your choice.  It will make no other changes; specifically, it
  155.       will not modify your autoexec.bat or config.sys files.

  158. INSTALLING FROM A HARD DRIVE
  159.  
  160. If you downloaded As You Like It (tm) from a BBS (or received it in the
  161. form of archive files from some other source), you will need to perform
  162. the following steps.
  163.  
  164.    o  Extract the contents of the archive file(s) in a temporary
  165.       directory on your hard drive.  The procedure for doing this
  166.       varies, depending on the form in which you received the package.
  167.       In all likelihood, the fact that you are reading this text means
  168.       that you already have the necessary tools and knowledge to
  169.       perform this step.  If not, you should be able to obtain
  170.       directions for this from the same source from which you received
  171.       the package.

  173.    o  Execute the "INSTALL.EXE" program which you have extracted.  For
  174.       example, if the temporary directory into which you have extracted
