  3. Instant Internet is an automatic Internet account sign-up and configuration 
  4. application that gets you up and running in a matter of minutes.  
  5.  
  6. Be sure to read the Read Me file before starting.

  8. TO SIGN UP FOR A NEW INTERNET ACCOUNT, select an Internet Provider 
  9. from the tab list of providers shown here. Some providers offer time-limited 
  10. demonstration accounts free of charge. Information on the providers and 
  11. their pricing can be seen by selecting the More Info button on each tab.  
  12. (Connect charges and demonstration periods are subject to change - you 
  13. will be notified of the most current pricing during online registration. 
  14. You will not be charged until you have agreed to the pricing and terms
  15. of agreement.) If you have questions on pricing or local access number
  16. availability, please contact the provider directly.

  18. TO CONFIGURE YOUR SOFTWARE FOR AN EXISTING ACCOUNT (instead of 
  19. signing up for a new one), you may choose the NetManage tab.  Note that the 
  20. NetManage tab will not sign you up for a new Internet account.  Also,
  21. if you have not activated the software with a permanent serial number, 
  22. you may use the NetManage registration server to download either 
  23. a demonstration or permanent license. Form number two on the NetManage
  24. signup folder tab is entirely optional in the latter case.

  26. After selecting the appropriate tab and reviewing the More Info text, 
  27. select the Sign-up button on the bottom of the tab and fill out the 
  28. registration form(s).  Select the Send button after checking your 
  29. information.  You will be asked to restart your computer after the 
  30. registration and configuration process before connecting to the 
  31. Internet for the first time.

  33. NOTE: All communication with the registration server is over a secure 
  34. phone line, not the Internet. Your credit card will not be charged unless 
  35. you explicitly sign up for a regular (non-demonstration) account and license.  
  36. You will be given an opportunity to cancel the transaction after dialing 
  37. into a registration server and before continuing with the sign-up process.  
  38. Your credit card information will not be passed to the provider's server 
  39. unless you agree to continue after receiving the initial hello message(s)
  40. and pricing information from the server.

  44. If you have trouble connecting to a particular registration server or 
  45. are experiencing a problem with a new Internet account that you have 
  46. established, please contact the appropriate provider.  Contact information 
  47. is listed in the tab for that provider.
