  3. Welcome to the Walnut Creek CDROM Catalog Disc, August 1994 edition!

  5. This CDROM contains information on all of the discs produced by
  6. Walnut Creek CDROM.  We have included the complete file listings, the
  7. entire directory hierarchy, and file/directory size information for
  8. ALL of the files and directories on ALL of our CDROMS!  In addition,
  9. we include a directory full of shareware programs, beautiful
  10. image/clipart files, and electronic documents from our most popular
  11. discs!  For those interested in adverting our products, we have also
  12. included the covers to all of our CDROMs as well as catalog text and
  13. press releases describing our entire product line.

  19.    VIEW.EXE       The menu interface for this disc for MSDOS
  20.                   Just invoke "VIEW" at your CDROM drive prompt to execute.

  28. Within the DISCS\ directory, you will find directories with index
  29. files for all of our CDROM titles.  These index files are included to
  30. allow you to search the indices and descriptions for the file you
  31. wish.  We usually include the following files to help you search
  32. through our titles:

  34.     00files.txt   All of the files on the CDROM (path and filename only)
  35.     00_index.txt  All of the files, with descriptions
  36.     dirs.txt      Directory listing and descriptions
  37.     du.txt        Listing of all directories, with sizes in bytes
  38.     ls.txt        "ls -alR" output - Shows filesizes
  39.     readme.txt    The README.TXT file from the CD, with pertinent info

  43. This disk conforms to the level 1, ISO-9660 format.  All the
  44. filenames are limited to eight single-case characters, with an
  45. extension of up to three characters.  Most directories have an index
  46. file named 00_index.txt that contains a description of each file in
  47. the directory.

  51. Although you may own this disc, you do not own the programs recorded
  52. on it.  Many of the programs on this disc are shareware.  You are
  53. free to try each program for a limited amount of time.  If you are
  54. satisfied, and want to continue to use the program, you are required
  55. to register the program by sending a specified amount of money
  56. directly to the author of the program.  In many cases the author will
  57. send you the most up to date version of the program and a printed
  58. manual.  Please check the individual files for specific information.
