  6. PC-INDEX automatically  creates the  type of  index that  you
  7. would find in the back of a book from any text document.  The
  8. index can be  created listing every occurrence  of every word
  9. in a  document, every  word in a  document except  words like
  10. "a", "and", "the",  etc., or only words selected  by the user
  11. (using a predefined list).

  13. There is no  limit to the size of document  that PC-INDEX can
  14. handle.  PC-INDEX can index a 400K file in about 1 minute and
  15. thirty seconds (on a 386 machine).

  17. WordPerfect 4.2 and  5.0 formats can be read  directly by PC-
  18. INDEX, but only with the registered version.
  19.  
  20. PC-INDEX requires  an IBM compatible  computer, 384K  of RAM,
  21. and DOS 2.1 or higher.  A hard disk is highly recommended.
