  7.                   For Any Size Business

  10. PDS*QUOTE requires 520K  of RAM (with little  memory resident
  11. software), MS-DOS or PC-DOS, two disk drives and a printer.
  12.  
  13. The PDS*QUOTE  Quotation System is  designed to allow  you to
  14. quickly  and   accurately  prepare  quotations   for  various
  15. projects.  The system assumes:
  16.  
  17.          STANDARD  MATERIALS,  PROCESSES  OR  PARTS  WILL BE            
  18.          USED                                                           
  19.  
  20.          STANDARD LABOR GROUPS WILL BE USED                             
  21.  
  22.          SPECIAL  (NON-STANDARD)  ITEMS  OR PROCESSES CAN BE            
  23.          SPECIFIED                                                      
  24.  
  25.               STANDARD SUPPLIERS WILL BE SPECIFIED

  27. A  quotation  can  be  built  by simply entering the part or            
  28. process  number  (Material  or  Process Code) and quantities            
  29. for  the  various  processes  or  items.    The  system will            
  30. automatically  look up the price, description, etc. for each            
  31. item.    Special  items (not a standard Material Coded item)            
  32. can  be  entered.    The special items will require that you            
  33. also   enter  the  description,  price,  supplier  code  and            
  34. Return-On-Sale  Code.  Lastly, labor hours by group code are            
  35. added.    The  system will look up the name of the group and            
  36. the hourly rate.

  38. After  the  few  minutes  to  build  the quote, you can then            
  39. print  the quote, either with or without profit mark ups.  A            
  40. copy  of  the  Quotation  is retained on disk for as long as            
  41. desired.  Please read Section 8 for the mathematics.
